This took a few years longer than expected. No one buys a flat business without a plan. Payment structure is likely to change as many have stated but suspect there will also be changes to EVE game play. Despite the rage quits it wouldn’t surprise if EVE is bigger in a year. But will more mainstream less niche remove it’s longevity? Beats me.

thats a great question but one we dont have an answer to yet
our team has been discussing it enthusiastically but we want to be sure we can deliver the best fluffy suit without disappointing players

You seem to be missing the point, EvE isn’t the pixels on screen, it’s the players and how they interact. If the new owners don’t realize this they will alienate the existing player base and turn EvE into a two dimensional World of Spaceships.
Every professional gaming journalist/publication would always include the phrase ‘not what it was’ or similar, which could only be a bad thing.
As I said, I hope they don’t mess with the core of Eve, but rather expand it in other areas.

There is no fanfest in 2019. It was announced previous year I think. I think CCP really knew what was going to happen.
