I totally agree with you. Its all over!!! all over, the world of old EVE is coming to an end! As the Koreans are now coming to take over the entire universe of EVE! Its all over! The end of EVE has arrived. Cause now its the beginning of the notorious EVE Korea, or should I say EVE North Korea. EVE is now turning into a communist universe! You will have to use plex now most likely to buy ships. IMO I think that is going to happen because if you need to pay for transport, then most likely PA will force users to money to buy ships larger than corvettes. That’s right, no money, you are forced to use a corvette. Its all over! Its all over! Why! Why CCP? Just why?

Yes, this is true - from a player-count perspective. I was referring more to the open-world aspect of an MMORPG and the “action-style” combat which is not a typical MMO control scheme.
But I digress. I could have explained it more clearly.
Regardless, this is an unfortunate occurrence in EVE’s life cycle as far as I am concerned. Very likely to be a beginning of a costly, frustrating, and ultimately futile hospice episode.
You don’t pay 400+ million for something you intend to drastically change, you just don’t. Anyone with that kind of thinking wont be in business long.
I’m hoping the new owners are just bolstering their game portfolio, and want to see Eve-Online continue it’s culture and the success that has brought so far.

I want to believe in you CCP but we all know your developing some new MMO in Un-real, and we all know how expensive that can be.
Just seems to me that alot of your so called “new endevaours” seem to always fall flat while you milk the one good asset you have to fund these projects. Due to EVE’s old age and the fact that Pearl Abyss are well know for cash grabbing.
Anyone can do basic math, with the amount they paid they would need to be super agressive to even claw back the cost in 5 years which is already an over optimistic life span for EVE. Just thought after all the VR crap you guys would learn your lesson and actually put some love back into EVE rather than flog it off to Korea to be broken down for parts to fund yet another new project.
I really want to be behind this but from the outside looking in, this really does look like the beginning of the end.
The new game better not be a steaming pile of ■■■■.

What exactly could Korea create that westerners would play at this point?
Everyone I know hears “Korean developer” and its like saying “cancer” to all the gamers I know.
This seems like the only viable option to retain a video game presence they so desperately wish to hold.

No there were a lot of better options. They could have sold EVE to Capcom, EA, Jagex, and even Microsoft. Microsoft did buy Minecraft, and they have transformed it into a much better game from what I have heard.

Oh girl, you probably missed the posts that are in Reddit and this dev blog, or you just decided to comment hear without reading the previous posts. People here are actually considering EA as a savior at this point.
Then they never played an EA game, I lived through EA buying Ultima Online and running it into the ground.
Oh you don’t like bots? Imagine ZERO bot policing to save money, that is the path of EA.
I remember specifically asking the head developer of Ultima Online after EAs acquisition about rampant cheating. The answer I got was shut the ■■■■ up or ill ban you.
