Try diagnosis, maybe its The automatic voice correction where program is controlling The voice volume. If not this, manualy correct The voice Output.
So as i recall, when eve voice was introduced, there was a charge for it.
And given that teamspeak ect. was available for free, the use of eve voice didn’t make much sense.
Me thinks it should have been taken down long ago.
The captains quarters were supposed to be the launch point into walking on station.
it fell through and the door was never opened. So no surprise there either.
As i’ve mentioned in the surveys, EVE needs to modernize and get back onto the bleeding edge of cool stuff.
Just dont forget linux guys.
Atom Ant.
So Eve Voice has failed and the answer you have is get rid of it. The only MMA that won’t have the ability voice talk to other players inside the game. You must use a 3rd party software to get this job done. Not what I’d do. I would have figured out how to make this right instead of just giving up and moving on.
You’ve never said a sentence out loud, paused, then said “sorry, I mean _____”?
People pause and correct themselves while speaking all the time, it is very much the verbal version of…
*you’re
…or whatever in a forum/chat room.
Ah, but in that case both the error and the correction are ephemeral. Both are only recorded to the fidelity of the memory of the various participants.
With text, some form of the conversation persists as a record. A history of its own making.
And where a conversation is recorded, both the initial statement and the alteration are preserved, just the same as unaltered chat.
Do you just let anyone rewrite history because it has become inconvenient, or because it amuses them?
We use the fleet system to implement a defensive fleet in nullsec with NPSI rules to let us tell the rest of the server apart from us, without having to blue individual players from NPC corps and the like. Usually the fleet that I made 5 minutes after downtime, is the ‘same’ fleet that is up until the server downtime hits next day, even if I wasn’t logged into it for 20 of those hours.
We are one of the front lines of convincing people to play in fleets at all, instead of grinding L4s and then leaving.
So what you are doing now is imposing the management of a third party out of game client, where people can now drop out of fleet, but still be on comms, so for any sort of security, I can no longer rely on the ingame list to tell me who my comms reach is, and now I have to somehow be able to tell that name ‘x’ on third party comms is also name ‘x’ in fleet, or even worse, keep some sort of map of name x on comms is name y on fleet.
IMO the only rational way to replace this is, is with another integrated voice solution where fleet members = comms reach.
IMO the amount of maintaining by deleting features that is occurring is getting pretty uncomfortable now, to the extant that I’m reminded of a world war 2 proverb.
Yeah its getting bad.
I mean… someone could be recording the audio of the verbal conversation you’re having with someone, you never know.
Rewriting history? That’s a bit of a melodramatic description of the subject. To me, it’s what kind of text communication you’re having. Is it real-time, like a chat window, an instant message, texting with someone who is texting back within a minute each time (as opposed to the next day like an e-mail)… or is it delayed, like forum posts, e-mails, etc…
Reminds me of the old unix/linux IM program, can’t remember the name… where you could see every letter as people typed it. So even if you edited yourself before you pressed enter, the other person may have already seen your typo. Good stuff.
since we are moving into the new 64-bit environment I would love to see something like in the stories that you read on the forms I would love to see like a 3D social environment to where you’re not always in the ship and maybe like a rack Style capsule.
if anyone’s played Star Citizen if seen the little cubicles you’re laying when you first log in that would be cool something like that I would love to see something.
like that even in ship were it possibly like the Orca it’s him ship hanger maintenance Bay you could get out of the pilot seat and walk around inside a 3D environment yes I realize that this will require a lot more 3D graphic power but honestly most people running 550’s gtx’s anymore minimum I myself have nothing lower than a 750 m and that’s on my old laptop
so I don’t see where it’s not graphically possible and maybe a lot more work than CCP wants to put in I would just be curious to see what other people’s thoughts are about it
Also maybe possibly for the in cockpit view because I love the in cockpit view I would like to see maybe with a webcam that comes in a grated on a laptop to when you move your head you can look around and it track sure I move and possibly to make it like to make it like then mind interface that Eve online is supposed to have more realistic I don’t know how feasible that is either it’s just a thought blinking your eyes or something you could activate your mining lasers I don’t know
