Unpopular opinion here, but I am not a voice chat fan. Lack of comm discipline and the feeling of being on the phone the entire time completely ruins gaming for me. These days it seems like every group on every game requires voice chat the entire time you are online. Eve gameplay is certainly unique, and the group with the better comms will often times win a fight, but I’m wondering if there is any space for playing eve in a group without voice chat.
So, would there be any interest in a FW corp that doesn’t utilize outside voice chat? No real requirements, no auth, RL comes first, all that good stuff. Few hours a day playtime, primarily US timezone, but all would be welcome. Gallente space, but open to w\e.

The response hasn’t been great. I got a few messages in game along with the two posters above. It seems there is some interest, but most people agree that the play style isn’t going to be successful in a game like EVE, which sadly makes sense.
The main thing I’m trying to get away from is the 100% comms in standing fleet full time BS that I see in literally every single corp on this page (the groups that require discord, mumble, and teamspeak get bonus BS points. Why not add vent too? lol) Most people seem to be looking for friends, not teammates to work toward a goal. I don’t want to hear about your day, I just want to shoot some stuff and get stuff done / pew pew.
Rant over. If anyone is interested in getting out of their NPC corp or if they are in a bad environment now, you can message me in game. I can’t offer any resources at the moment as I only play a few hours a night, but if you want to hang out in my solo corp you’d be welcome.
I agree, that’s what I want to avoid. I don’t mind being on voice coms but not like ALL the time. I am returning after being off Eve for 10+ years. I know times change and approaches evolve but our PvP corp did fine with chat coms even in battle (but we were small gangs) and then we started using voice coms for only battle, otherwise we just loosely chatted in the corp chat.
