My impressions from watching Fanfest:
-
Silly stuff involving DEVs was really good. And community members leading and conversation at last day was funny, friendship was in the air. Definitely these things were what will be remembered kindly.
-
Keynote: Hilmar was looking more serious than ever. Good thing the game was tried by him again, so he could see what we see every day and could understand some issues, and get on track again with EVE. Nice images with Triglavian expansion. CONCORD guy should have had some actual escort of CONCORD troopers in full combat gear, as capsuleers can have mixed feelings about CONCORD officers. Too much history for my taste, the vidio in keynote was about history too.
I see a wasted occasion to have a nice inspiring vidio about triglavians, a bit of story with kindly remembered CONCORD guy again saying some iconic phrases. Would be a good material for memes in future. -
CALDARI Corporation Tournament was nice to watch. Nicer than the 1vs 1 fights. More higher stakes, more emotions.

I did not personally dig the presentations by community members. They were just non interesting as theme for me. I would rather have seen a security or economy stuff from CCP devs, or something about upcoming Project Nova.
I have mixed feelings about it after I sum it up. In organization terms it was good, but it lacked in informations about what CCP is working on. I may have not seen everything happening in the backstage tho.
