If you enable 2FA through an app via the QR Code on the Account Management website, it overrides the email verification codes. Have you tried that instead?
Not yet; I’ve only tried disabling it.
I’ll try that and see if it’s less inconvenient.

I trusted my MacBook ( its a 2009 model, launcher now needs a QT lib I can’t get, etc etc ) more while it ran OSX and a lot less since about 3 days ago when I put Windows 7 on it via bootcamp.
The next laptop is probably going to be a system 76 since Eve now runs on the Linux.
Haven’t run a linux as my everyday machine since about 2004 when counter-strike got moved to steam and I couldn’t play it through wine anymore.
Maybe CCP will let people compile EVE from source one day? 
One thing to bear in mind: Eve is not officially supported on linux.
It may work, and there may be a dev or two trying to keep it that way, but that’s personal projects, not a company effort.
I’m getting really, really, really tired of the constant changes to security and launcher. QUIT ALREADY!

Because, as a user, there’s nothing changing, unless you want to use new options.
The updates frequently cause me to lose my account and character personal settings. Since I have multiple accounts, it takes a very long time to reset. Several times, I’ve even have to add my characters back into the launcher again.

So it’s not about security, its about launcher bugs.
(If you can tru a reboot when you lose your characters, that can sometimes fix it. When there are two copies running, it can get flaky.)
Pretty sure that’s not their business, lol

I’m all in for security (and privacy) enhancements.
BUT: Almost everytime I want to use the forums, my data is redirected through cloudflare and aws (amazon web services) — otherwise I can’t use it.
Especially at times when the MER is released and the server load goes up.
This sucks. BIG.

Regarding amazon: I can’t believe that people are paying to be surveilled (“echo” and what not) – but they do. And yes, aws is part of amazon.
Sooo … I wish CCP wouldn’t use those services in the first place, but if they do PLEASE inform your users upfront that you do, and the implications that go with services like that.
Most users aren’t even aware that their data is funneled through those services.
I consider companies like cloudflare, amazon, google, facebook and the likes as rogue and a security and privacy RISK and I don’t want to have ANY interaction with them.
When I interact with CCP, I want to interact with them alone. This is a matter of trust.
It’s none of cloudflare’s or amazon’s business.
You don’t want bots ingame, so get rid of those bots out of game as well.
