Please cease the use of street slang like ‘moongoo’, ‘gang’, ‘chonky’ etc. Use formal language in any situation possible, we pay a subscription and we deserve excellence, not be spoken to with childish user-made dialects.

Who made you the thought police? People pay a subscription to have fun, not to be formal (unless one finds that fun). If I want to say and use moongoo, I will.

It’s fine that they’re fixing mining in null-sec. It just sucks that every other region will be negatively impacted as a result.

Well, will you tell us about them?

Apparently you have no idea what is Nullsec. Most alliances have intel channels reporting perps and their ships.
Removing local would only destroy hotdropping and make the blingy redeemers useless. Null farmers and their bots would simply place a cloaky alt 1 jump away, so by the time you jump into system, their “docking request” would have already been accepted… And the cloaky alt doesn’t even have to be looking constantly at the screen. Just zooming at the gate and peeking only when they hear the sound of gate activation :stuck_out_tongue:

To be fair, High sec has been having a good time the last few months on mineral prices.

I think everyone has benefited - except maybe manufacturers. And by the stockpiles of minerals now being dumped on the market - I think there was a lot of speculation by larger players. Was that the root cause? Probably not. But I suspect that speculation certainly helped prices rise (speculation was specifically referenced in the dev blog as one challenge with any balancing).

Wouldnt work as the poor nullbear whiners are complaining about afk cloaking etc. Also people can use filaments to get into null. Next…

It worked really well during Blackout. So well in fact that the Whiner PVPers started complaining they couldn’t find any targets any longer and that every gate had pods hanging around important gates. Next.-

Naturally, this only worked inside the big blocks. Small entities were thrown under the bus without mercy.

Beside “passive contact points” between Vanguards and Capsuleers there could be ship mounted “active contact points” (pod launchers or “drop ulinks”).

They could be used in future situations hinted in the Future of Mining section of the DevBlog:

  • Jackpots and Surprises - rare finds, Vanguard friends could be called in such situations to better explore the find and raise the yield or find something even better burried inside the space rock - like some relics or simmilar artifacts for capsuleers to analyze
  • Waste Mechanic - again, call Vanguard friends to help with ore reprocessing to lower the waste ratio, on top of Capsuleer Skills. …Or let Vanguards into station facilities like reprocessing (and dumps) to roam and get some for themselves and simultaneously temporarily raise “reprocessing efficiency index” of the station/structure. Vanguards would get better components and easier access to them, Capsuleers would get less waste
  • Core Mining Gameplay - particularly salvaging was mentioned there. Again call Vanguards to explore the wreck, along the drones to raise the chance of higher loot drop percentage. Fun fact: while browsing for EVE Online assets at ArtStaion, i stumbled onto an info (can find it now), there was a kind of “mini game” planned for salvaging - it hinted at going in person into the wreck …time to unshelve it maybe? :smirk:

EVE Vanguard and EVE Online players could organize themselves to be online at the same time just for those mutual endeavors - something like a fleet finder but for both games. And while Vanguards practice/warm-up at some free-style game modes, waiting to be called in, Capsuleers actively search for an opportunity in space, knowing there will be somebody to hop-in at moments notice.

And if you implement that “UE Pixel Streaming” client into EVE Online, Capsuleers could watch Vanguards POV cam-feeds to not get bored :smirk:

Not this again.

The last time this was tried it massively benefited a few of the large null blocks that had huge super umbrellas, the minor alliances lost people who wanted to keep using their big toys and after the first week the PvP crowd were upset their target choices were each other or a capital that %100 was going to light a cyno for the response fleet to dogpile in.

Pot, meet Kettle.

Sooooo…when yall gonna stop ignoring Wormhole space?

Don’t touch Wormhole space! We like it here. No intervention nessessary thank you.

Inb4 an update accidentally unanchors every player structure in WH space.

Too late. It’s now guaranteed to be touched inappropriately…

Everything is as is it should be!

We can’t expect CCP to start rewarding high sec players that blatantly steal james315 asteroids, it sets a terrible precedent.

Hasnt this joke run its course? “High Sec ore belongs to us!” Get some new material. It belongs to whomever has the ability to take it.

The only joke is watching you mine veldspar in a 200k shield fitted skiff with most likely 3-4 min reps for ore that’s worth at the best of times 15 isk a unit. Barely scraping 10 million an hour on a 1 billion isk ship, and then having the audacity to claim that its null pilots and CCPs fault that they’ve decided to focus there attention outside the kiddie pool.

Funny because this past weekend I mined up over 600m in a Hulk with Orca compression.

But that Skiff was more than enough to keep losers from being able to destroy my ship while I mined ice. A few tried and ran off after their failed attempt. After that, all of the ganker lowlives would leave me alone. None dared try their luck against that Skiff’s tank!
