It’s not like those components were found in other regions before now. The only difference is that they will be less expensive now. You were able to get excavators before, now you will be able to get them from the same people at a cheaper cost.
no they don’t. they need the nerf to their drones that their getting, they don’t need to be easier to kill, they are dying just fine watch a week of zKillboard stats and you can see that just clear as the bright blue sky.
Also there are already a lot of excavators in the game. If Rorquals are no longer justified for a lot of players, they will probably sell their excavators so there will be a big supply dump and lower demand so they will probably dip in price from that too.
I love the way you replied to Falcon with that.
No, you won’t. You know what’d happen if you came into the CSM all full of piss and vinegar and unwilling to listen to the people who know what the hell they’re doing?
You’d get ignored.
I don’t think this was the intent, but if it is then there will actually be a lot of unsubs. The 20% nerf seems to be a simple nerf to the amount of isk/hour, not trying to change them to boosting ships only.
they could be dying more tho
How many Rorquals are in space every day and not dying? Is that information listed anywhere? Because without it the handful that are on zkill each day mean nothing at all.
So I did burst your bubble? Yay
would you then say something needs to change the massive gap between goons and other big alliances in term of income.
For i fear that these changes how equal on paper they are might broaden the gap as other alliances may not be able to provide security for these new risk as well as goons may
feel like i trying to say to many things, so sorry if its too messy
Yeah ,that was a brain fart. I reversed 'em.
you’re missing the point, they set the price based on profit over material costs, if the parts can only be farmed IN QUANTITY from one or two specific regions, nerfing their capability will not lower their prices. material rarity garauntees it. so the [price on the drones will not drop, so long as only certain people control the material supply.

This mentality is incorrect, and unhealthy for balance discussions as a whole. There is no ship change that is going to solely effect the larger groups while leaving the smaller ones untouched. Justifying a lack of change on that basis will kill balance ovetall, and entropy favors the already entrenched groups.
The best way to nerf the hyper dense null groups is to force them to spread out, stretching their cap umbrellas as far as possible, while supporting mechanics that will severely limit their projection of massive force (basically nerfing cyno mechanics/buffing inhibs)
Any changes that support subcap viability and nerf capital viability hurt the umbrellas, which is a good thing. Dont drink the koolaid man, these nerfs will hurt the big guys too, no matter what they say
This might be the case for the smaller fleets. And for Goons/Test and other larger entities this will have no impact. Therein lies the point. I think this game might have lost its way. These changes affect smaller miners more than a place like the Delve miners.
If CSM wants to represent they need to let the conversation occur instead of jumping on the dissenting view like they are wrong. Its a change. Some are going to like it and others are not going to like it. As long as those who don’t like it are communicating properly they should be allowed to express their view.
This change affects disproportionately just like many changes as of recent…a fact CSM is either blinded by or can’t see because they are following a different script/agenda.
I’v roamed through delve and warped to a site expecting to tackle a hulk when I got there, I couldn’t move not because of web not because of scram or warp disruptor just sheer shock of seeing 50 rorquals all in one place it was freaking rediuclas.
a repost of my repost, how many levels can we go down?
they don’t need to, if you make it them harder to build.
Well CCP, for once I get to say thanks. Thank you for letting me know before I actually trained into this massive Nerf.
- I have a solid Rorqual Pilot now. WAS training others - Cancelled. — My current Exhumer fleet will solidly out perform Rorquals at far less expense with higher mobility and less risk. Thank you for increasing the Boost.
- Was training multiple Carrier pilots - Cancelled. — Warp drive down because of a Sensor Array?!!
Seriously! Thank you for saving me billions of ISK in training, building and equipping the several capital ships I WAS headed towards. Instead, I will focus on my less expensive SUBCAP skills and ships. I look forward to taking down Supers in small gang Cruiser Fleets.
What were the developers thinking?!! Having a ship that sends out up to 39 Fighters that Alpha Battleships off the field. Titans that can alpha Capitals, KeepStar Mega Structures the size of a small moon that Alpha Titans. Crazy! Right? Can’t have that! Gotta make sure the battleships and cruisers can get their licks in no matter the size or capability of the opponent.
Looks like EvE is departing from SciFi and semi realistic space combat and moving more towards Fantasy Roleplay where Battleships and Cruisers can individually go head to head with Capitals.
I wonder will you also NERF the Capital and Super Capital Rats that one shot cruisers and battleships off the field as well?
I have a crazy notion here. How about promoting actual GROUP play vs nerfing the whole game down to one giant ongoing Alliance Tournament.
Well, good luck getting an uninterrupted hour on an R64 moon.
R64s pop w/max frack, even jackpotted, you’re getting maybe 120 out of it. Probably less. You’re competing with 100 other people, after all. Whole moon chunk’s gone in 10-15 minutes.
They also improved the boosts given by the Rorquals. I don’t think they intend to remove the mining aspect of the Rorqual itself alltogether. See no point in that. But it’s clearly been hinted that their primary purpose is to be the command ships of mining fleets.
Which was exactly what Rorquals did, before they changed it a few years back, severely overpowering the Rorqs own mining capabilities.
but why do that, if you keep them at the same build difficulty they are now and make them easier to kill more can die
