So cute, thinking you get a vote. This is not a democracy.

Live in Singularity, not tranquility - unless I’ve missed something.

You’ve missed this morning’s patch.

Can’t blame you though, they didn’t exactly shout it from the rooftops. The change is very much live on TQ, however.

Yeah, it went live about 12h ago. Check the description of ā€˜Accounting’.

Nothing will change in HS regarding PvP as Concorde will still operate normally.

If you want to sell then you will still be able to sell in the normal locations (or near at least).

This is MMO? If somebody can’t deal with people then they need to go play X4 (for example). Never understood this…

I have a video because I can’t seem to attach it to when I report to people who are you in the development. I was hoping that I would be able to show it here in the forum because it may be a possible way but also there are some capsuleers or extremely negative I put in here. And there’s some that say they contradict my English language to be bad. But I’m just showing you this and a picture is worth a thousand words. Also here is not letting me show you because it gives me sanctions. I’m really trying to be honest and not against to play Eve online. But I have a very bad reception and no matter what I do to fix it it just won’t go. It makes me very sad. Cuz it times I support you with US dollars. So just to let you know not to raging against Eve online at all

Might as well shut the thread down if the changes are already in. No point in this turning into an unsub thread.

Ok, I know this has been brought up several times, but the real question is ā€œWHYā€???

This is absolutely ignorant. Do you think people in eve want to pay MORE in taxes? What the bloody hell. If anything they want to pay LESS in taxes.

Give us skills to reduce our taxes more if you’re going to up them so drastically. The extra 7% is not enough. This will end up hurting your player base. It seems like that is all you’re wanting to do now. There is absolutely no reason at all to increase taxes, none.

What kind of illogical type of people you have working at CCP anyways? Sheesh.

Realistically speaking, this has been a really brazen action. Especially since there was nowhere a date? Does not mean any preparation time. One has still produced and calculated with old taxes and can not even get rid of the charge on the terms … From because of singularity only … nonsense.

Great action, for me it almost seems like a big scam to the community. Players are now forced to buy more so they get the same amount. Example PLEX. Good idea CCP. Nice that you just get your creative heads off the street without any qualifications.

Thankfully you gave us 4 days to talk about it, but in the end, not a single one of you cares what we think. This shows the situation that 4 days after the announcement was received nothing and was simply beaten.

not liek we’re really blowing up important thigns anyways. no reason to do so.

You know nothing, John Sherridan

Because CCP is actually perfectly OK with botting as long as they are subscribed. The rare occasions of capital slaying in hisec is just a show. They are pushing people more and more to have more multiple subbed accounts and join the sovnul blocs. Yes they will enjoy more money income in the short run, but I believe they are killing their own game in the long run vOv. That is my opinion of course .o7.

These changes are bad and should be reworked.

Increasing sales taxes is actually a positive for the game even though it will hurt me. The game needs more ISK sinks and this is a good one.

But increasing broker fees in NPC stations only is one of the most foolish change proposals I’ve seen in a long time. It’s going to counteract an ISK sink by sharply reducing the amount of ISK actually removed from the game via broker fees, as players will simply move to player owned structures where the ISK is only transferred.

Also, I don’t like this pushing production more and more toward vertically integrated production lines. It’s going to be much less viable to buy or sell intermediate products (e.g. Tungsten Carbide Armor Plating) to someone else who then finishes a product, as each transaction incurs new taxes.

Want a better solution? Keep the current broker fees but add an additional a non-bypassable 1% broker fee (stacking with whatever the structure owner charges) that is simply removed from the game. And (as much as I abuse this at the moment) remove the ability to refresh durations of orders by 0.01ing them. It’s ridiculous that I can keep up extremely speculative sell orders for 100 isk per 75 days at present.

Exactly this. But the problem is, this change would require actual coding work…

Then implement sales taxes and brokers fees in Player Structures. If CCP increases taxes in NPC stations and more people move to player structures, we have again less ISK destroyed and more ISK in even fewer player organizations. Thus, CCP is not in the slightest interested in increasing ISK sinks. They have again no clue what they are doing and again only do the wrong thing. Typical CCP.

Sales tax is already in player structures. There is no difference between sales tax in an NPC structure or a player structure.

Only broker fees vary.

My main issue now is that I actually have to consider all the fees when calculating proper prices, so far it was fairly simple, just ~3% with order, or 1% with direct sales, the 1% didn’t matter much.

Why the hell is minimum tax 2.25 and not 2.0???

One of these statements is right. The other is not.

Have you ever seen the formulas CCP uses for things? I’m actually pretty surprised the tax formula doesn’t have at least one instance of [Value]log(n)2 x 1/[volume in m3][Value]log(10) in there somewhere.

Also: OH MY GOD I CAN NEST SUP/SUB TAGS THIS IS AWESOME HAHAHAHAHAAH

Edit: Now I have to see how small this gets.

Edit2: I am gonna have such ridiculous fun with this.

Edit3: wait! Can I do exponentialexponents? No. Foo.

Can someone explain how asset safety is bad isk(faucet/sink) wise?
The actual ā€œISKā€ cost of a ship is the cost of refining materials/manufacturing costs/research/ect. This doesnt have anything to do with actual ISK cost of a given ship. And if you look at a simple example. To make a Caracal you spend about 150k ISK to get the final product. Destroying This caracal despite the fact that the ship might cost 10m ISK for you to buy will only remove 150k ISK form the game.
(Hope no one forgets that mining doesnt create ISK)
