This is relevant to a fair number of PVP scenarios that currently occur in highsec.

Do we really think it’s right for there to be a “safe space” in Eve Online. We’re all playing in a sandbox… why try to snuff player interaction rather than overcome it? Doesn’t building feel sweeter when it was a hard fought victory or accomplishment?

It’s driven by the need for new player recruiting, just accidently benefits players want share assets at same time.

There will be safe button like in World of Warcraft battle mode, in some time DEVs will consider that as an option…why?
Why the ■■■■ this game is a sandbox in a first place?
If this is strictly pvp game, why all pvp skills are not avalible and trained from day one?
Why wardecers have all tools to destroy any single corp in high sec, and outnumbered defenders can only watch?
Why call this game sandbox if ppl actualy don’t have any choice?

It’s as much of a ‘safe space’ as exists now. Don’t drop a structure. You can still be ganked, but otherwise…

My two cents

Removal of neutral assistance

Under current mechanics, if a neutral character applies a remote assistance module (such as a remote repairer) to another character they can receive a suspect flag if their target meets all of the following conditions:

1. is involved in a war (including normal wars or FW)
2. does not share a corp/alliance (or FW side if the war in question is the FW war) with the assistor
3. is engaged in PVP (has a capsuleer logoff timer)

As well, area of effect command bursts currently apply to every member of a pilot’s fleet that is within range, without distinction for whether those fleet members are at war.

In both of these cases, the resulting gameplay can be frustrating and unfun as combatants cannot effectively engage neutral repair ships until they activate their modules and cannot engage neutral command bursting ships at all without incurring CONCORD’s wrath.

Does this mean that I fill get flagged for Concord intervention when I interfere by lets say, two people fighting the random fight and, I decide to heal one of them for giggles?

What makes you think that all the tools are exclusively owned or held by Wardeccers?

That’s the thing, you don’t have to just sit and watch.

How do you not have a choice? If you don’t want to be involved in a war, then don’t own a structure…

That third point you make is a great one. The elimination of station games would change things up significantly for both the larger merc alliances and the defenders. It would also allow Logi to be jumped off now that they must be in corp involved in the war so could add a new dimension to the way these fights play out.

I agree! I’m not a game dev wizard, but I imagine it’s as simple as a conditional statement… or make it a criminal offense where the Command Destroyer is sacrificed for a greater tactical goal.

Either way, I wish it was a thing!

Why wardec 2 ppl highsec pve corp? Is it good, or wardeccers are just covards and fight only with newbies?
How long it gonna last when there is 20k ppl in game at most with multiboxing and bots in delve…make that maybe 50% of that…yeah, great game

I can think of many reasons. I won’t waste my time since it won’t matter to you anyway. You might ask your aggressor though, as he can tell you better than I.

I agree that it would be better in a situation where A and B are both at war with C and fight together, that A should be able to support B. However, what if D comes as well that only has a war with B but not A and shoots B? Then A would directly interfere with the conflict between B and D without being at war with D.

So there isn’t really an option if you want to get rid of the idea that neutral pilots can influence a war.

This is the basics of player-driven content, but I will entertain you. I don’t suppose you will like my answer since it doesn’t fit into your “dec’d for no reason claim”.

There are a number of factors that go into why you possibly drew a Wardec as a 1-2 man corp:

  • Possibly scouted or seen in an expensive ship or lots of value in cargo (profit driven)
  • Maybe they want to destroy your structure
  • Maybe they were paid to do so by someone that doesn’t like you or someone you’ve crossed
  • Maybe they don’t like you
  • Maybe they see you as a weak target that would likely complain on the forums about the Wardec, providing tears and entertainment
  • Maybe it was that they randomly saw your name in local

See it could be a number of things. I know nothing about you, but it’s safe to assume they have some kind of motivation… but maybe they do want cheap easy kills at your expense. Who cares? Adapt to the situation to overcome it or unanchor your structure.

It boggles my mind how most everyone here and on Reddit puts various forms of pvp into tiers… as if risk averse pvp in any other area of space is inherently better. What makes it so? What’s different about the guy killing industrials and miners in Highsec compared to the guy terrorizing ratting VNIs and miners in Null?

great making the game more boring!! now stopping neutral reps but still allowing 20 gankers on a gate that use third party programs costing people billions of isk!! your pretty much getting rid of suspect baiting or any kind of baiting! lets just make eve safe and PVE!! lmao

ofc some one in one of the larger merc alliances would like a change to prevent small groups like Danger Gnomes from pooping on them like what happened to VMG, Why am I even surprised that you’d like it to be a numbers game instead of a skill based game

Let’s face it, you have tools to do it, you can and like you zkillboard look with billions destroyed and no victims on your side.
If CCP take it from you, what you do with yourself, cry on forum or go to places where real pvp is?

This has nothing to do with wars, so it will not be affected. Read the dev blog.
