What makes Aura @system ? Doesn’t really makes sense to me. ^^
Also: It doesn’t need to be Aura necessarily, but discobot is not related to EVE in any real way. Especially for the newer players that should be the case - and well, Aura makes the most sense as it is also doing the same in EVE, guiding new players.
I think I’m going to like these new forums
@discobot start advanced user
It’s the “alpha account” of the forum so it does not look too empty.
Will Aura help us from the Disco Bot Invasion?
DiscoBot is bad branding, nothing to do with Eve…It is a just a silly name. Have a contest to name it. I would call it A.L.I.C.E. google it and you will know why.
BOB ?
@discobot fortune of your name?

My reply is no
I really don’t understand why you thought you needed to change Aura. She was absolutely fine and, to be entirely honest, wholly fitted the contextual science fiction narrative that lies at the heart of the game.
Discobot is frankly just totally hilarious. The graphic is antiquated and clunky and looks like something that’s been created on the Sinclair ZX81. And what the hell is the disco bit about? I can’t even think about it now without seeing this in my head: https://media.giphy.com/media/3EfgWHj0YIDrW/giphy.gif
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XlZ0EcsneSg < when I think of an EVE disco I think of PERVS doing a lowsec DD party.
No. It’s immature. It’s pointless. It breaks experiences. It breaks expectations. The days of awesome are over & done with, it’s business. There’s no point in trying to present cool when it falls outside the realm of best practices.
If anything, Aura makes a hell of a lot more sense. Associative behaviour, recognition, affirmation of identification - you realise this isn’t art, just applied science.
Discobot is built in nonsense with the software. It’s a lame attempt at being chic by the people who make Discourse. Meanwhile nobody actually wants to hold a conversation with a markov chain bot for the last two decades and nobody is going to start now.
It would seem Aura considers herself a sentient life-form, and in so understanding that, she strives to become more human.
@discobot is perhaps the creation of Aura’s. It’s like an attempt to be humorous. I don’t think she fully understands human emotions yet, but I think she just tried to make a joke.
She has created her own managing subsystem for the forum. I guess she has a lot to learn.
(It’s like Data from Star Trek-trying to be spontaneous.)
Sorry Aura, disco is cute, but I think we’d prefer sophisticated.
Hi! To find out what I can do, say @discobot display help
.
Nobody gives a two shits about how system is called, everyone sees discobot and wants it called Aura.
Thats how world is working.
Burn baby burn. Disco inferno.
OMG
