Discussion about "Into the Abyss" update

You are the only one here who cares about “salvos is right”. You can’t accept other opinions are as valid as yours, and that even, maybe, other opinions may be more interesting than yours.

You are trolling everybody because you think too high of yourself.
I agree with you on the drop rate, but I do not agree on your behaviour which is autistic and trolling.

What you seem to be failing to comprehend is that a linear model of filament replacement requires a mandatory drop of 1 filament. This by definition negates standard loot mechanics and requires a separate container be seeded in one pocket of every filament, with its own % chance of each filament (being that there are 25 different filaments).

Filaments being a loot item, and subject to the standard loot mechanics precludes a linear model by definition unless CCP are to remove filaments from the general loot mechanics process, develop a new system for them and seed another destructible object in one pocket of each filament containing the new replacement filament.

That is only true in YOUR vision of how it should be. A.k.a YOUR opinion.

you keep talking about other people trolling but fail to see that the only person trolling is yourself.

One L1 filament = One L1-5 chain.

Either buy them, or source them.
Either run them, or sell them.

In order for CCP to implement your vision of a linear progression of filaments they would have to make abyssal pocket access similar if not identical to escalations in that they are a percentage chance to receive “x” filament pocket type (tier and weather = 1/25) and not an item (which is the whole design concept).

This would essential make filaments impossible to sell on the general market and result in a system similar to the sale of escalations based upon selling a location and trusting the seller to be truthful.

Again that is NOT an argument. Just you staying how you think it should be.

Where the fk did you come from all of a sudden?

Yes its my opinion, and one I have explained and justified.

That makes it an argument.

I’m not quite sure what you mean by that. I am just an eve player using the forums to discuss a topic given by the OP.

Yes, you do

So why would a linear model be “bad”?

Again, no I don’t… just because you say something @Salvos_Rhoska doesn’t mean such is the case.

Again. Will ask the question, do you read the responses other people make. If you did you would understand the argument that myself and others are making as to why a linear model is not applicable to filament progression. (Whether you chose to accept the argument on the other hand is totally up to you.)0

Whats wrong with each pocket dropping only one filament to the next level pocket?

I think there is a level of complexity, after which his brain fries, and he just skips that argument where we explain him something he is mentally unable to understand.

ie : if you make a complex sentence, he just automatically ignores it.

Just let him talk alone. There is no discussion with someone who is not willing to discuss.

At this point, the one at fault here is no longer Salvos but you guys.

Just. Stop. Responding. To. Him. And. Respond. To. The. Thread. Instead.

Ignore Him. @March_rabbit is saying his exact point except he is not being a zealot about it. Discuss with him if you actually want a discussion.

You are only doing harm to yourselves here.
