There was no “easier” route, it was pick your poison Niarja or Uedama. You had to go through one of them and the fact they are close enough together for gank fleets to scurry back and forth made it (at times) even more dangerous.

You are correct, once past Uedama it is quite easy and extremely boring. 40+ jumps in a freighter is mind numbing, not to mention the trip back.

Easy it moves the market away from one market hub out to regional market hubs. This causes more competition in prices and stock levels.
Sure market traders will be effected by this, but good ones will have logistics in place to counter hauling between systems.
Basically it’s a good thing for the markets and indie.

If more freighter traffic takes the long way around, there is a beautiful “ganking pipe” of 7 systems between Balle and Hek that will become much more active.
There are ways to move large m3 around Uedama, Nairja and expensive jump freighters to make trade in Amarr extremely lucrative. I am sure some have already figured it out, but it certainly does make for interesting times ahead.

You don’t have two freighters and two leopards? Just leapfrog them. Who only has one freighter per route lmao.
The thing is, all the other systems are connected to Jita like limbs are to main body. I think right now people will remove stuff from the disconected market hubs and move to Jita to trade because its more convenient to get everything there. Its like all the limbs where blood doesnt circulate have to be removed.
And if Jita will be invaded, it will be like CCP headshoting the game. Then it wil only rot in grave, slowly. Some ugly creatures may feast on it, but nothing more.
