I mean yeah, it will cost you a bundle extra in taxes, and no, nobody in null will ever care, or even know, that youâve opted to financially self-immolate as a form of protest, but still, this really is basically like telling all of nullsec that you slept with their moms.
TTT revenue calculation: 2.2 trillion ISK per month
Full disclosure: Oz_Eve did speak to Vily about an earlier estimate I made. He says the real number is a bit lower than this, but this is the calculation I find feasible at the moment. And while I think he is likely telling the truth, he is hardly impartial, so trusting him blindly would be unprofessional. I will keep improving it as I gather more information.
Vily also confirmed on TiS that is is smaller.
That money is split between the null blocks in the agreement. I think the ones making this isk would really care if it took a hit.
But ya, they wouldnât care if it took a hitâŚso much so that even with a so called war they still keep this agreement in place.
Most of that revenue is from microtrans items that trade at thin margins - thin enough that you canât really afford to trade them in an NPC station when your competition is using a player hub.
That trade isnât going anywhere (except, potentially, to other player hubs), so nobody is going to give a â â â â where you, personally, do your shopping.
Yeah, and alot of ratting stopped. Do you know what happens when the money supply shrinks too much and the [real] economy keeps growing?
New players wonât care all that much, IMO. People who were doing logistics and moving stuff between markets (i.e. older players) are the ones who will tend to care. Oh and look a guy with character who is 6.67 (2,466 days) years old in game is complaining.
Oh yes, that is exactly what happens. It is unlikely this will be the case. If prices have gone up, but ratting payouts have not, then those price increases could be simulated by reducing ratting payouts. This is called an income effect. So, if ratting payouts go down to people engage in more ratting? No. If anything probably less.
You canât force people this way. There is little they can do to stop players from finding ways around it. Cripes this is silly.
That maybe possible, but it isnât clear it is going to work exactly like you think. For example, I build T2 stuff and tend to sell it in 1DQ. So it is quite likely I will see an increase in my T2 invention income. Will it offset the increased prices elsewhere? Maybe. But who gets rich and who doesnât never works out in such neat clean ways you suggest. Further, in many cases it is not even clear that is a bad thing.
In response to those who say well its your problem you should have defended the system.
What do you seriously think small hi sec groups can do against null sec alliances that make in an hour what most players make in a year?
I have known plenty of players in HS who had plenty of ISK. Thing is they just donât want to do the necessary work to reduce their risk for defending something like Niarja. They were all quite happy to free ride off everyone elseâs efforts and since that calculus applies to everyone the effort is very, very low. Now it has bitten them on the posterior.
And your picture is wrong. Goons for example didnât really care about Niarja in terms of HS players, but for other reasons.
you know what
i just passed thought niarja in a capsule
going to jita in the good old 10 jumps
the camp is waaaaaaaayyy smaller than yesterday wen i lost a ship
i see myself getting some kills there in the future
its not that bad after all
