Every 3 months they have a sale of 3 months sub + 3 months MCT added at a heavily discounted price. Sale lasts a few days so once you are on that train then you’re good.
Next sale should be in some 2 months.
I will once again remind people that CCP has never needed PA’s interference to be boneheaded and ignore the advice of their customers, and yet again point out that during the Q&A, Paragon confirmed PA had no hand in this.

I’m an old guy, recently retired. Only been playing Eve for about 11 years. Not particularly interested in PvP or Null Sec, so I’ve been drawn to the solo Trading/Manufacturing/Research/Hauling elements of the game, though I have given most things a try. I spent a couple of years in Red/Blue/Black Frog which is when I came to have 4 omega accounts (and a modest stack of ISK). I mostly plex my accounts.
As many have said, for players like myself it feels like every time we find a play style we enjoy CCP comes along and nukes it. The first five or six times I said to myself just roll with the changes and find something new but its become very old. When we had scarcity and the assault on industry I rearranged my alts to use them as a skill farm so as to basically to mark time until it emerged where CCP was headed. That’s been going on for a couple of years now and its really not very interesting.
This is not directly related to the subscription prices (although there is sure to be a knock on effect to those of us who plex) but just to agree with the many here who have said that CCP seems to want to nerf anything solo/trade/industry and are completely in thrall to the large null sec alliances. For players like us there is very little that CCP has done for us for a very long time. A combination of no new interesting content for those of us who enjoy this solo play style and the gratuitous tearing down of industry and markets is pretty toxic.
As I don’t subscribe I can’t cancel my subscriptions to send a message to CCP, but like many I logged on the last few days and tidied up all twelve of my alts to ready them for long term or permanent inactivity.
There is a small chance I’ll plex my main account for another month to make it easier to keep tabs on things (I have three days left to decide) but somehow it seems unlikely.
So sad to see CCP lose their way like this but I think its pretty established by now that this is an ingrained pattern, not just a momentary aberration that will pass.

Perhaps PA should start making more decisions for the direction of Eve and remove the autonomy? That might come if they start posting losses on PA’s books. Might even see a sell off?
Why not form a DAO and offer to buy the franchise IP and company?

ok so ive have a few days to think about this, everything is going up in price, everywhere. Eve is not imunne to powerbills and the people that work there, just like us have to live. i dont belive they are rolling in porshi’s lol so lets push them to have a new ship design contest we could use something like artifex 3D viewer for the SFC3 mod pack or something and play around with the ship image files. state the desired use and fit for the ship and submit our ships. winner gets two of the ships and a blueprint for it. with a bit of advertisment they could pull in some new players not just more multiboxers and we might not get another price hike anytime soon ,… come on this is suposed to be deep space why wouldnt someone use pieces and parts do build a ship ? … what do you guys think ? i think it would be fun.
The market has been setting the rate and you can’t fight it, there is a lot of competition for our custom. That’s my worry, by being out of kilter with the market by introducing such a large increase, people will go play a cheaper game… And when those cheaper games are triple AAA titles like WoW, FFXIV et al it’s not like that represents a reduction in quality.
Now is the time to be the most competitively priced imo.

- To get more value from the subscription I’d like to see things such as:
** A CCP version of EveMarketer with more reliability and a fuller API.
** The ability to use my 3 characters at the same time (on the same machine, or separate). - This is a LARGE increase in one go, I think you’d be been better to spread the increases out.
- Will this new price act as a barrier to entry for new players moving from alpha to omega?
thats why they charged from the beginning already 15% above the usual price for AAA sub games the last 19 years…
should cover it for half the time. and a additional at least 6% if you pay in €. so… should be fine.

Oh dear, I think you misunderstand my point around free market economics. The market sets the rate. If Ford increase the price of their flagship saloon by 33% making them more expensive than BMW / Audi and co, how do you think consumers would react?
That’s why CCP hasn’t raised prices to date, they’re in a competitive market with players who are competing for our money, they have now stepped out alone into the realms of $19.99. Big risk, they’re now not competitive.

Dose eve still have the same value as 19 years ago? I not think so, but thats on every player to deside.

as we all see and know, not competetive isnt true completely.
There will allways those who maybe already invested like 36.000 $ or even more and will just justify it till the end couse if not they lost it all.
And i am sure everyone know some (in my case mostly old) ppl who even would pay double the price for their new car, even if its the same car they bought 10 years ago for half the price.
Even if there are better and even way cheaper options.
Just couse they always just bought exactly that one.
And hell i am sure there will be even some maniacs who just will start playing so they are able to say “hey i am playing the (or one of the) most expensive mmorpg avaible”

“Now” is also the time to realise you should have stockpiled and pivoted to staples and commodities.

Start planning to have no ISP internet too and electricity blackouts.
A lifetime sub means that eventually the funds for the game can dry up even if everyone is ‘subscribed’, which is the end of the game unless CCP then monetizes the game in other ways.
It’s not sustainable and definitely not the way to get ‘EVE forever’.

ccp is a company and they will do what they want whatever you or any other person in here writes.About the changes ccp got their own mind black out was reversed i do not see them reverting anything about dbs ess or industry.About the changes people can see the effects of them in game whatever other people say you can have an opinion since you can live the effects when you log in.Reserve banks are full everything in market is so expensive income is down .DBS makes people rating in nul sec feel the rating ( 2ond job) worthless . Carriers faction staff targets are few in space.Ess mechanics put in some isk for a blink fit and be safe nothing can catch your afterberner loki or gang people with your blinky friends sniping from afar while the ratters loose their penny’s . About the industry changes i will just tell you to open the market .So for me the ’ broken economy ’ was fine you could actually play the game take fights loose your ships rat a few hours have a new ship to pew pew.So now you come in the forums and cry about the 5 $ raise lol .If you do not like the game do not play- pay for it ,man up or something.Even if ccp announce at the fun fest they will give you a blow job it is still a rip off .With the money you are gonna save by not continue to waste your time-$ in this once wonderful game that is now crap you can do so many things .it is time for people to cut their losses ,people have invested so much time in this game but enough is enough .
