Something I found interesting of late was that I was having almost as much fun running L2s in a Cruiser on a new Alpha account as I was running L4s with two Omega accounts. The EVE junkie in me, though, was thinking about how much fun I could have doing L4s with three Omega accounts running a battleship and a pair of battlecruisers.
This announcement could not have come at a better time for me. Iām grateful for all the money you guys are saving me by announcing this. I already cancelled the two Omega and killed any plans for the third.
I wonāt pay $40 for two when I would have been paying $45 for three, and I certainly couldnāt justify $60 for three when that would have been four.
So thank you again for announcing this now instead of later.

Hey ISDās removing comments isnāt a good idea.
If you donāt want them here we can just move this to Twitter and make it far more public you are removing comments to hide the feedback they have asked for.
For a change like this you should be expecting some vitriol and just accept it instead of this censorship which we can bypass.

Eve is still profitable. they arenāt in a position where they āhaveā to do this to stay alive. the quarterly reports prove that.

See, I see it the other way around- the things that would bring in significantly more players are things the current players absolutely do not wantā¦ Basically making the game simpler and easier. Removing HS ganking. Giving new players a lot more ships and making it far faster to train up skills. Making missions pay 10x as much. That kind of thing. WoW is the model for what draws in new players. That isnāt what we want EvE to be.
This is coming from the perspective of a new player who started a month ago, these price changes are not going to keep me and I can see this is a bad idea knowing your audience after a month.
Your main source is long-term players, who even looking at this thread all have multiple accounts. People who have multiple accounts are either a) going to completely stop subbing (probably a small minority) or b) go from 5 accounts to 3 or 4. It doesnāt take someone with a Masters in Business to know this next part: lower your price point to $10. Not only is this going to bring in any potential new players, it will also increase the likelihood of people with multiple accounts. Even if a person just adds one more account (it would likely be more) would get this same result you are trying to establish with the $20 sub.
Just my two cents from a new playerās perspective.

Yep like I said, theyāve earned the hate. they need to take the licks. Reddit is already pretty up in arms too. Maybe we should just post in a public forum about all the unsubs so that the stock holders can get the message and start dumping the CCP stock?
Space Engineers is a one time cost, so is X4.
