Please, take a deep breath and EXPAND your mind to figure a way in which MMOs EXPAND the money players pay to them while EXPANDing the content available…
EVE has no paid expansions and all new content is delivered free of charge.

Here in the US it hadn’t changed.
Please list all of the meaningful additive content we’ve had in the past 2 years.
I don’t think money will save me or anyone else. If money is a problem I wont be playing a game. It’s that easy.

There had better be some amazing announcements at Fanfest to counter this bad news.
Even if you include the cost of paid expansions of around £50 every two years, Eve is still more expensive at the new rate, also those expansions provide new content, unlike eve, that doesn’t.
Thats a GREAT way to look at it!
Now… what EXPANsions has eve had in the past two years?
what NEW content has been provided that compares to entire new regions, missions, storylines, etc that might otherwise be comparable to another MMO’s paid expansion?
I have been playing this game since 2012 on and off. I am on a fixed income but this game keeps me sober and content. I un-subbed due to money troubles and finally have enough to come back. (I am now questioning re-subbing)
I have made great friends, played great content, and seen it go downhill. Everyone claimed that eve was dead, it wasn’t, It was in a deadly tailspin. Players watching in horror hopeing CCP would wake up and take the wheel. CCP hasn’t cared for many years, all they want is money and their pet projects. We say go left and they go right. There was no direction, no listening to its players. The players that keep this game together. Many feared when CCP did change something that they would either break it so bad it wasn’t worth the trouble. Or ignore player input and make it more complicated.
CCP dev’s do what they want because they simply think they can. Players have risen up before and forced them to back down on asinine policies.
I call on my brothers and sisters to do it again. BURN JITA to the ground. I understand you want to unsub and I won’t try and stop you. However, I will ask you to leave your systems and come to jita. Lets pick a day and crash the gates. Show CCP we are fed up with it and how many players stand against this decision and many others.
Its simple CCP if you want to raise the price, show us the pay off:

5-year plan presented at fan fest showing us what direction you are headed. (social contract, you don’t deliver we all unsubscribe)

Withhold the price change until after the plan is presented and you have feedback from the players. (I am willing to pay more if I know something that’s cool and I want is coming)

Be more transparent in your changes. How about you ask your players and listen to us before you spring things on us. (the Dr. Who event that 90% us didn’t want)
Most EVE players are extremely intelligent individuals. We know when we are getting shafted and right now that’s how it feels.

They will get my pity only because they are pitiful business people who managed to take a decent game and kill it with probably their company. I suspect the employees will have much greater concerns than their former employers server farms soon.
I understand they need to raise prices to keep the lights on but it’s the timing and the way they did it. first NFT’s, people got outraged. NFT’s were removed. Then the retriever pack, almost a month silence and after much outrage it was removed. Now this price hike. It seems to me like CCP is desperately trying to find ways to earn money without actually adding any good new content and just re-adding what was already in the game

Cannot recommend Albion Online more strongly, significantly more content updates, indy is still doable by a single player and endgame gear doesn’t take years to grind into, you can do it in days. Such a good sandbox game if you can stomach the point-and-click playstyle. And it actually feels rewarding compared to Eve!
Still, you place privilege above equity. It’s that simple.

Well based on the pricing increase - if they lose anything less than a third of their normal monthly subs, they’re going to make more money than they lose. On the other hand, decisions like this make me think they’re banking on some people leaving, as less people playing lowers the cost of operation. Money saved is money earned after all.
I just got back into the game a little over a month ago and am still trying to come to grips with the mining and industry changes that I am - for a lack of more appropriately-vulgar terms - not at all happy with. Then now I’m hit with “By the way, you’re going to get one month LESS TIME for the price you paid for your 3-month sub on your accounts now. Thanks for coming back after all these years!”
I miss this game, but I DO NOT miss this company.
Well I came back to EVE in 2017, and have payed monthly every single month for the last 5 years.
But this price rise is crazy.
Will be cancelling my subscription.
That is their MO… They have been doing it for years. Nothing as desperate as the price hike but ever since a plex no longer meant a 1 month game sub it has been all down hill, and that was a long time ago. It’s just time to let it go died in peace like EQ for me. Both were good times, in their time.
