[Discussion] PLEX and Omega price changes feedback thread

The good old judeo christian guilt our bankers like to use is that simple?

Thats the thing, they don’t. Paragon confirmed that they don’t have ANY issues right now with keeping the lights on. this change is to fund ā€œfuture development projectsā€ that they will ā€œreinvest into eve onlineā€

Which translates to ā€œTrust us! we’ll make something good!ā€
The way he worded his responses even implied that the ā€œnew contentā€ they’re announcing at fanfest IS NOT EVEN DEVELOPED RIGHT NOW.

So they want us to pay them more money on promises, when the last several promises have ALL fallen flat on their face. 2010 era, they promised us an ā€œexpansaloneā€, DUST 514. Everyone was excited, and they even did it… by releasing a PC game’s ā€œexpansionā€ as a console only tag-on.
Fail.
How many games have they made and promised?
How many first person shooters have they scrapped because they failcascaded?
How much of the profits from EVE Online have they already SQUANDERED on dead pet projects?

But now they’re asking us to ā€œTrust themā€ to spend MORE of our money on their PROVEN track record of failure? Just because -this time- they’re ā€œreinvesting it into EVE Onlineā€?? but wait, are they? ā€œfunding other projects is how business works. if one succeeds, they all succeed!ā€ Right, CCP Paragon?

I found an explanation. It is Putin and the war in Ukraine that are to blame. Is that so?

Just before I came back to eve I was playing Neverwinter. A decent game and I played for free, I managed to acquire some top-level armor and weapons. I may go back there, still have my desktop link for the game

No, its so that they can ā€˜fund future projects’ which will ā€˜reinvest into EVE Online’

Good god, and why not the lizard theory and all this crap?
No I told you about fact that are teached in school.
Open a book someday

All these people canceling subs may throw the in-game market off that steep learning cliff we as Eve players Bragg about.

They need to JUSTIFY the price increase

what not enough donuts

promises and promises and nothing to show for it sense 2014

You need 2 account to use a cap , 3 to use a super , the isk you make is way to low - you loose your ship is going to take for ever to make the isk back and with cloak campers and all is even hard just to undock and not loose the ship - so now to do that you have to pay 60 dollars a month hahahaha . Is not the 14 to 19 - is the 42 to 57 a month … hahaha this sis crazy - was about to sub 2 alt and see this im going to stop once foa all … the nerf i take but pay 684 dollars a year is way over line … then this time is game over … 684 dollars and the plex hahaha - so this game now is likw 1000 dollars a year to just get nerf like all the time , this time the Pearl incompetent abyss went way over line … good luck you need it hahaha

Also someone who has played since 2003 off and on

I run 8 accounts, a lot with multiple skill queues bought and already spend way too much money on this game, I have been struggling to pay as it is. Surely you are aware of the cost of living prices etc and while it’s at it’s all time low, you hike up the prices?

This is insane, I’ll be cancelling my subs, so enjoy the Ā£300 a month from me, and the lack of the thousands of pounds I have paid in plex over the last 4 months. If your game isn’t dead yet, it will be soon.

You’ve broken industry all around eve, yes BROKEN it, killed off a load of interest for people in our coalition to try use the same and expect us to pay more for the pleasure of getting ignored and / or refusing to roll out of changes which are killing the game, from what appears to be ego. It’s pathetic

I hope your CVs / resumes are up to date

You’re right…

Playing a game is not a god given right.

We all know how well this logic is received too.

A 33% price increase is ridiculous. There are plenty of other games out there that provide equally as much enjoyment for less. When you all add 33% more content, we can talk, but for right now, I’m going to unsub my 10 accounts. Maybe if you release something cool (like, I don’t know… walking in stations?), I’ll resub these accounts.
I can play FFXIV, WoW, Escape From Tarkov, Elite Dangerous, or a plethora of other games that bring me the same amount of enjoyment for cheaper than what you all are trying to get monthly now.
At least those games have released new content that the players wanted in the past 24-months and seem to actually listen to their community.

it’s your main job to provide updates and I pay you. It is quite obvious that you will not release updates EVERY month. But at the same time, I have to pay you more … forever and ever …
Next update? Subscription increase again? 25$
Just because you had to WORK?
And if so, then the QUALITY of the content you release is constantly falling. You can’t even put information on the site without all sorts of glitches.
And in general, it is not clear where you are moving, for example, a statement about the desire to get rid of our multi account sounds extremely wild
And these words ā€œwe will arrange a big announcement at the fanesteā€ do not inspire hope. I still remember your ā€œbig announcementā€ about the return of the alliance tourŃ‚Ń„ŃŒŃƒŠµŃ‹ā€¦ I remind you it was a 1 minute 30 second video… BIG!!

Having a good job doesn’t mean we want to give away more money to everyone…

I have a pretty good job, I don’t want to give people more money than as necessary, or if a number required is higher than the worth of the product.

I don’t care if you or anyone else can’t deal with the logic.

You think if they were smart they would announce whatever they think is so super to stop their exodus as by the time they announce at their fanfest, their only gonna have half their player base And it will be another flop

A final word for today.

After rising price by 25%, CCP will still earn a profit (or cut losses) if they keep >75% of their paying customers.

Of course, you’re free to wish them to fall short, lose more than 25% of their customer base and start firing people to keep the lights on. Nothing lasts forever… but then if you didn’t care about your sunken costs in EVE Online, you wouldn’t be objecting that the access price goes up, rather you would just let it go.

Forget about this dark troll, Im pretty shure he’s masturbating already

Are you trying to kill this game? it sure seems like it.
