I dont feel bad about buying 1 year of crystaline aura on lost ark now. this just paid for itself.
Curious, that in a thread where CCP has requested feedback from the players, your suggestion is that people not offer anything other than positive feedback - having deemed anybody saying that unfortunately they wonât be able to continue to play because of the changeâŚas somebody whining. Yet CCP asked for the feedback. Curious.
edit: missing a word
I was going to start a second sub but after listening to the SoundCloud Iâm resubbing wow, ill keep my main Eve ACC subbed obviously but after today ill also keep my wow ACC subbed as well.
I donât get where this kind of stupidity comes from. YOU are free to whine, I am free to make fun of you for whining about 5 Bucks after 19 yearsâŚ
I had 9 Omega accounts and 5 alpha accounts⌠All subs have been cancelled and I will continue plexing 1-3 accounts as long as the isk holds out. Once its gone, so am i.
you have to love a company that keeps claiming itâs making serious attempts to both maintain itâs current player base, as well as encourage new players to join and continue with the game⌠then they keep doing things that constantly bend that player base over the barrel. a LARGE portion of current and new player base retention is being able to play the game while maintaining Omega via in game play, yet this is already and will continue to screw that portion of the player base by forcing them to pay steadily increasing prices to maintain their Omega status.
According to them, they need the money, except they plan to have constant sales. So do they need the money, or can they afford to do sales? If they can afford to offer constant sales, then they donât need the money.
So according to them, theyâre lying.
CCP has been getting $$$ from ALL THESE PACKS/PLEX/ other stuff⌠no need to raise sub $$
Repeating what has already been said here, but each ânayâ should be voiced.
The hypothetical max revenue the game could earn from subscriptions is a constant with regard to cost-per-month x subscribers.
Raise price, lose subscriptions. Lower price, gain subscriptions. Net zero change. The only important piece is how much it costs to provide a month sub to one account. Generally not a good idea to lose money per sub if youâre having trouble getting offsetting cash flows established. The cost per sub would be a good number to release at fanfest. But, letâs assume the cost is less than $15/mo.
I can only assume CCP believe their game is, to the majority of subscribers, considered an irrationally low price. Such that the number of players who choose to pay the increase far outweighs the number who will just go alpha or leave yielding a net revenue increase.
This carries an important implication: If the majority of eve players believe the current price is a steal, then the game must be some really high quality service that none but a few in the know have found out about.
A diamond in the rough! CCP have been unwittingly providing a superb experience for peanuts out of the goodness of their hearts!
Buuuuut, looking at the concurrent players graph, the forums and r/eve temperatures⌠that seems really unlikely.
CCP, this is a weird move. I once heard that you had an economist on staff. Did he get laid off or something? Raising prices without increasing services is right up there with a company no longer stocking female hygeine products in the restrooms. A symptom of a financially ill company.
Maybe they are? So what? Your choice isâŚwell, you know your choices. There is no plan D there.
Curious. Again, CCP asked for the feedback. Folks have given feedback. Basically end of story. Seems as if youâre just trying to interject yourself into that discussion. That hard up for attention of late? Oh of course, youâre free to do that. Much like Iâm free to pity you for needing that attention.
From the little Iâve skimmed of this thread, the vast majority of replies are just emotionally-charged declarations of ragequit from enraged space-Karens.
Very little in the way of constructive feedback. People donât like paying more - who knew?
I LOLâed
There was definitely a group of folks that were raging all about earlier- just attacks left, right, and center - leading to some moderation. Lots of folks have simply said they cannot afford the changes for one reason or another or that they do not feel the game is worth the new price point. Simple feedback that doesnât deserve to be lumped in with the ermagherd crowd.
You donât determine their âneedâ. They do. Your choices are pay/play or donât.
The real problem is that for years CCP made people think they had a choice and âinputâ, You never did. You and I are customers, they are owners of the service. The CSM was damage controlâŚ
I choose to keep paying them because Iâm having fun and itâs just 5 bucks.
If you arenât. Donât. Simple. But donât think any of this âfeedbackâ is going to change anything. Itâs just Impotent crying (maybe not you, but most people here definitely).
People should be happy to pay a fair price. It is very unreasonable to complain regarding a price point correction.
However, I would like to complain about the way it has been rolled out. We currently have a discount of 30% off omega (with the old price as the basis) just prior to the 33% price increase.
That is ridiculous!
I donât NEED to pay for 9 omegas with my credit card either So they are going to miss some $$$
So stop telling us âthey need this money to cover costsâ. Clearly, if theyâre planning to offer constant sales, they donât. Which means you are as full of crap as they are.
How do you explain me writing this reply
I simply commenting on the pitifulness of this âcommunityâ. EVERY thing is met with a whine.
Itâs annoying, because EVERYONE who has been here for more than 5 minutes know that nothing is going to change.
You are going to whine, CCP is going to act like they care while still doing what they want anyways, and you are going to keep playing/posting/participating anyways. Itâs your time, but why even bother?
The one thing you will never get any more of is time. Why waste it when you KNOW you are going to lose? Thatâs a question for everyone here.
