Posting a 100% true description of Naari’s actions is not way out of line.
Posting horrifyingly inappropriate material in his corp discord server and spamming his corp to buy it is out of line.
(And for the record “weird religious text” is not an insulting way of describing the Bible or any legitimate religion. Naari wrote his own pseudo-Nazi rape fantasy and called it a religious text.)
As a miner of 10 years. No, just no. I’d go even further and ask that mining lasers be specialised able only to fit to ORE Frigates. Firstly, what incentive do I ever have to subscribe? Secondly, botting would become rampant. Thirdly, then with more ore and minerals - alphas would start demanding more and better logistics access to transport their increased yields. The inch of the barge would be the start of a mile march into Industrial skills.
Alpha should never been increased past Cruiser Level Racial access in the first place.
I’m starting to think that Noobi is actually a false flag poster acting as a double agent for the pro-risk lobby, based on how bad his posts and ideas are. His forum and in-game persona is a downright caricature. But I’m not sure that the pro-risk lobby needs this service, and it might end up doing more harm than good on the grounds of how ludicrous his arguments for the pro-safety lobby are. I mean, suicide-ganking? Yeah, sure, that debate has been going on for almost as long as the game has been out. But then we get to the parts about removing criminality from/adding CONCORD-like “perfect safety” mechanics to low-sec, needing wars to be able to attack players in null-sec, complaining that trading is an invalid form of gameplay (when it’s literally the only activity in the game without an income ceiling), etc. etc., on top of the constant claims of being a hardcore PvPer and game developer.
And then of course there’s DMC, blindly supporting one of EVE’s most morally-reprehensible figures based purely on the perception of oppression and persecution, without knowing who they are, or what they did, or caring that what they’re saying might be pure hypocrisy.
I will never understand why someone who lives (or has lived) in null (or low) and engages in pvp, then gets so upset about pvp (wars, ganks) in hi sec. It’s not like a lot of combat in null is exactly “fair”.
I can understand those who have always avoided pvp, and who stay in hi, why they get upset even if I don’t agree with their stance.
because as a dev/designer i do not think its good for the game, that is why i am upset with it.
Btw this is heavily validated by the amount of people on echoes, and the mass QQ that came from removing “safety” through the fixes to the game last weekend. Its strong evidence to prove this (anti-gank in high sec) is a good change.
Also, i am not advocating for wars to be removed, No, infact i want them to play a much more serious and impactful and constant place in eve. They have immense power for lore, and many other things.
Yup, “serious,” “impactful,” and “constant,” as long as they can’t be launched against anyone who isn’t specifically looking for them, and explicitly consents to them.
It could be worse, CCP could be listening to him; thankfully it appears that CCPs goals for the game are diametrically opposite to what he wants.
As for DMC he’s already admitted that he’ll like posts because they are in opposition to the underlying nature of the game, regardless of how batshit insane the content is.
You mean kinda like the existing system that does not allow them unless you build stations?
Yes, I think people should be immune to doing pvp in most cases in HIGH SEC. At the same time, i think npcs should be significantly more dangerous (maybe adding battleships and the likes there).
I would not be so sure about that, by the way. I raised excellent points about skill point systems and the extensive issues around there, and we got daily logins now.
I’m assuming you mean the rewards for logging in, are you seriously trying to take credit for something that’s been around for in one way or another since 2016?
