Re-reading the notice again, it sounds like a new region of space (Dalek space??) is going to be added with special wormholes and now will be canon in EVE?! 
When you start catering to Fortnite and Candy Crush players, you start getting Fortnite and Candy Crush events.
This is all an effect of discarding the gameâs core integrity in favor of chasing safe-space carebear dollars that began about a decade ago. You wanted the âgriefing to be fixedâ? Well, that comes with other things attached to it.

Yes, the space will be real and daleks will be real.
If they hold to Dr Who canon, the Daleks and their ships are nearly indestructible while their weapons are nearly unstoppable.
Going to be interesting to see how New Eden ships handle it.

Just like any other unstoppable foe. Remember how you could just easily destroy Seekers in your Noob Ship? They will just water everything down and ignore most things in favor of convenient plot devices.

Concord are people.
Their ships are powerful but not at all unstoppable.
And they do pick and choose who to attack. Daleks hate all life not their own.
So instead of getting new players to play EvEâŚThey just turn EvE into a different game to get new players.

I have heard players say they did destroy Concord ships though.

Yes, and then they patched it out. Meaning that Daleks covertly infiltrated the Concord and are planning to take over. It all makes sense.
