Different number of high slots to fit damage dealing modules. This is exactly why they are called turret ships / missile ships / drone boats. Different speed and agility, too. Now one particular type of primary weapon is rendered much less usable while the related drawbacks remain. Managing destructible drones is not same as pressing the (indestructible unless overheated) turret / launcher fire button. Or at least they could now add direct attack / recall buttons for drones, too, to keep the things balanced.
You typed all that and didnāt actually replied to the question. For obvious reasons, of course.
I tried to reason why IMHO there was no exception, and now there is disadvantage. Everyone is free to agree or disagree with that reasoning, of course.
(Skilling up for drones vs. turrets/missiles is yet another factor to consider)
Follow it through - make drones stay attached to the ships and shoot stuff at opponents, like guns do - thatās consistencyā¦
Just appreciate that youāre saying āpressing F is significantly more difficultā
Formally, you are right, admit it.
This is being fixed per CCP Paradox; the Assist impacts were not as intended and they are rolling back the entire drone aggression change at least temporarily (which is to say: if they can find a fix they may make further changes to drone behavior in the future - there are no guarantees of how long drones will behave in a specific fashion or that CCP wonāt take away aggression again via a revised implementation later).
Yes I believe too that this must be a bug - though I cannot find any reason why the menus offer your drones to assist or guard your partnership and then doing nothing.
So if guard and assist is intended to be thrown out of the game there would be no reason why the menue entries would still be lasting there or are we testing how many clicks they get ā¦ attention per click ? Kind regards Tekmek
Wait wait, I know I know!!!
Because Situation A is different than Situation B??
EVA and a pick axe.
Indeed it is!
But why? Why should a drone, when told to guard a friendly ship against enemy ships, guard only when the enemy ships are piloted by capsuleers and not when piloted by NPCs?
I would expect the āguardā function to at least be renamed to āguard against capsuleersā, because there is no in-game reason (yet) why drones would regard one ship differently than another.
It likes to kill players more?
Of course those bloodthirsty drones prefer killing players, but why do they say no to blowing up some non-capsuleer vessels when they get the chance?
They are secretly normy krabs
Youve seen Mining Drones, right?
Filthy kulaks
They are Union Drones?
Assist function was reverted back. Drone balls rejoiceā¦
afaik focus fire has not worked for 20 years
