Ive been using drone short cuts to launch DRONES attack with drones and recall drones
I lost my SALVAGE drones 2 times doing this And I even bought the 5 mil a piece dunk drones and now the just vanished like I never had them
They did not die to hostile just disappeared
Is this a new bug I checked all on overview they are not there should I even bother salvaging if this is going to be the new norm?
As you say there were no hostiles there are a couple of other ways your drones can ‘disappear’.
One obvious one is that you warp away and leave the drones behind.
Another less obvious way to lose drones is that you warp to another place on the same grid. While the drones are still in space they are no longer connected after you warp and will not listen to your commands anymore until you reconnect to them. Maybe that is how you lost your drones?
You can rightclick your capacitor to reconnect to lost drones that are on grid with you.
I had the same thing happen a couple of days ago.
I had 5 sentry drones out but when I recalled them only 4 returned, despite trying to reconnect the system told me there were no drones out.
It wasn’t on the dscan or overlay, it had disappeared.
Each time this happened I launched them they didnt even show up on overview for second they just disappeared
Sad part I only got to use the dunks for 1 misssion the hobgoblins I lost at least they were months old
manually fly to the drone, right-click → scoop to drone bay.
Sentry drones can only return when you’re in range of them.
Also it’s easy to filter out drones of your overview, space and dscan so they’re completely hidden from view.
Lastly it might have been hit by a wrecking shot. I sometimes lose drones too.
I know.
But I was in range and drones are always on in my overview settings.
I was in an easy lvl 3 mission in my Ishtar doing the daily mission so I don’t think it got shot down.
But I have spare Caldari Sentries so it’s not a massive loss, just annoying.
