This is my first cyclone and I’m toying with this dual build that can be used to go into wormholes.

I figure I can use the ‘Cyclone Web Exploder’ build to sneak up on enemies in wormholes and if my exit closes or I want to wait out 48hr timers on other depots I find and have to travel through lowsec to get back home I can switch to the ‘Cyclone - Safe Travel’ build using my mobile depot.
I won’t run out of cap booster or ammo because I won’t be using either one.
I know the ‘Cyclone Web Exploder’ build will likely just get me killed in PVP but do you think this will work in the easier wormholes or is it just too impractical? Improvements? Thoughts?
Hitting multiple NPCs at once at close range while using the shield tank of the cyclone to keep me alive. If I’m out for extended periods I won’t need to reload just recharge. I know a cloaked ship could trap and wipe me out easily but I’m thinking if I stay cloaked and avoid all contact with other players I might be able to collect some loot until my skills get better.
The shield tank on a Cyclone with just one Medium and one Large Shield Extenders is very weak. On top of that, medium Smartbombs don’t do enough damage to do more than kill a couple of frigates.
However, I’m sure that if you tried to kill frigates with them, they would manage to orbit outside of your smartbomb range.
I would really advise against Smartbombs, but experienceis the best teacher.
You’re basically disregarding everything the cyclone does well for a novelty fit with no use-case.
-You cap out in about a minute with perfect skills running only the smartbombs, and it’s obvious by the fit that you’re not at all 5s
-The cyclone is bonused for an active shield tank but you’re running an unhardened passive one
-The DPS is anemic
There are, or at least have been in the past, some applications where smartbombs could be used effectively in PvE (dual boxing some 6/10 anoms with smartbombing rokhs, as I recall), but you are guaranteed to be better off with a more “standard” fit in this case, I think.

Select personal meta level mods based on risk and skill levels. You can swap to range script and rapid lights. You have to pulse the XL, but the shield boost with skills is decent.
Carry some ECM drones and appropriate sutras. It is a personal choice whether is it chanting or non chanting.

Medium shield booster is actually for small ships, I know it’s confusing. You are going to want to go with large or extra large. Also the shield extenders are not necessary. They give you raw hit points but since you’ll be shield boosting, you want resistance over HP. You would be better off with an adaptive invuln and a cap battery or missile guidance computer. Also despite what others have said I would recommend heavy assault missiles for wormhole stuff because sleepers generally fly close to your ship.

It is cap stable with flux coils but they can be removed and replaced with more ballistic control systems or missile guidance enhancers if you don’t care about cap stability. I personally don’t care about cap stability when rocking an XL shield booster, but most new players like cap stability because it makes your ship easier to operate.
The one thing I absolutely would not change is the large cap battery. With a large cap battery you will see marked improvements in your ship’s overall capabilities.
Edit: Also if you do decide to remove the flux coils, than switch the rigs to semiconductor memory cells instead of capacitor control circuits. They will give you better capacitor strength but only in the absence of flux coils (which lower your total cap).

Otherwise, more cap or some shield rigs for resists or higher shield boosts. Usually I do not see a need for AB or MWD. Because Minmatar start off with a nice base speed in the first place. And MJD is not the “get of jail free card” it appears to be.
Also, you will want to have a look at some sort of salvage option. Either some drones or mobile depot and high-slot swap on the go.
I was thinking that you should start a talwar in low-sec, using it to kite - which it excels at. Just to get some practice instead of just all this theory. Also get used to; some people just want to queer your pitch.
