Eve-Online Capsuleers who like to write their own EvE based stories need Campaign Gear. Campaign Gear would be smaller commodities that range from ships, to radar sites, etc that can be skin using SKINR and then set on the board to accompany the story telling. They could be bought in bundles along with being named and links inserted in the bio that corresponds to the part of the story the writer is telling.
No⌠Thereâs such a long list of outstanding fixes and/or ârealâ feature requests.
So you can write yourself a mission with no risk and a massive payout?
This has happened every time online games let people write their own crap, which is why no one lets you do that anymore.
How about no?
Any smart DM nixes player homebrew before they even finish setting the paper on the table. Players know f*cking nothing about balance.
I mean, a mission submission feature would not be a terrible idea if they could safely release one which cleanly allowed players to create new missions to be considered with some level of review, but I donât see any âdungeon masterâ type thing making any sense at all in the context of the in-universe or even meta perspective.
Itâs Sunday. Itâs Dryson.
'Nuff said.
Sunday doesnât matter, Dryson does this on all days that end in âyâ
The Dungeon Master Campaign Gear is more for the explorer or sentiment searcher who likes to read the stories that they wrote on the forums, then added small game models to the game to enhance their story.
Something along the lines of a, âpop-up storyâ, where the props in the game are part of the story. A mini-adventure, based on the players stories. Each in-game prop would have a bio section that would allow the explorer to read the story, while in space. CCP could even add in NPCâs to enhance the excitement of the story. The story could place in on system, across many systems, which, at the end of the bio story, there would be a link to the solar system where the next part of the story would be centered. Or the player might have to use needle jack filament to jump into Trig or Null or Low Sec space to continue the journey.
Just a different type of exploration.
That doesnât make sense to put in. Itâs best done as fanfics, and does not add anything for more than 90% of players, especially with the quality of writing similar things like STOâs forge have shown.
Well, the game environment will change as EvE Online gets older. Promoting fiction writers is one way to ensure at least 10% of the population of EvE Online will remain, EvE Online throughout the timeless ages.
The switch for EvE Online will not be thrown off when the Devs and content creators get to old, but will be handed off to the net generation.
No it wonât.
The generations that came after the ones that started this game donât have the emotional maturity to handle EvE. The title may continue on after Gen-X leaves, but the game remaining wonât be the EvE. Kinda sad that itâll take an entire generation dying off for Dryson to finally get his 100% safe EvE.
Iâm certain as the kids of Eve developers grow old into maturity, the kids will realize that they will have a good foundation already in place. Some will want to do different things and not be involved in EvE Online, but when the kids of the Capsuleers start growing up and donât want to play anything else other than EvE online, then the future generation of EvE developers will already have their customer base.
Over the weekend, I watched my cousins play a board game called, Necromoids. In the board game, you have molds that the player can create monsters, champions and add-ons. A ring is then used to smoosh the monster or champion when defeated.
I think such a board game based on Eve Online, molds for ships and damage, might be liked by young and old alike. Especially the smooshing part of an opponents clay ship that can be re-used to make other ships or let to dry and then painted.
Is that whole dry and Dryson thing messing with ya? Thatâs your problem.
