While there is a Freighter class ship for EDECOM in the game, there is no JF. We need these ships to carry large amounts of goods for Aliiance and Corps. Please consider this.

Last time i checked, it is neither Edencom, nor EDECOM, but Upwell. But i might be wrong…
The Upwell ships are under the EDENCOM part of the ship tree though, for some reason.
I understand the confusion, CCP too was confused when they made these ships.
On topic of the question:
While a jump freighter with infrastricture hold would make my life immensely easier while moving my PI in null sec, EVE isn’t always about making things easier.
For one, I think it’s healthy for the game that extra large structures cannot easily and safely be moved in jump-capable ships but require escorting fleets.
Also the design of EDENCOM ships is to fight hostiles that they encounter while warping all the way to their destination. A jump freighter won’t warp and gate though, it just jumps from safe tether to safe tether and shouldn’t encounter hostiles if flown well.
I don’t think an EDENCOM jump freighter is a good addition for the game.

And why not use existing jump freighters?
Easy: existing jump freighters don’t yield enough isk value for the gankers killboard statistics…higher value kills means higher reputation…
