I have to agree with you on it being less but, simple math: you have ten isk and i have five isk, you spend 6.75 isk and I spend 4.99 isk. Who’s better off? We would be starting this conflict with much less and a much higher percentage would be spent. It doesn’t really matter that we spent less if we went bankrupt in the process.

No, you have not. You have possibly lived in the same region of space (I cannot confirm any actual observations, though). We have explicitly agreed with your leadership that for our mutual interests it would be beneficial you stay 1) away from EM and 2) quiet about EM.

My day is not barely half over and I see Lord Vaari being told he is speaking nonsense about Electus Matari from a prominent member of Electus Matari, Lord Vaari totally changes his mind about the person who expelled him from CVA, and Del’Thul and I find something we can agree on.

To truly be not guilty of the above charges requires a lack of intent in the members of Electus Matari to destroy the Empire… I can assure you that there have been in the past and are still in the present, those that would like nothing else.
Electus Matari follows the laws of the Republic - and as a result of the Republic not advocating the current destruction of the Amarr Empire - means that Electus Matari does not have this currently on it’s official agenda.
This is not to say that this will be the official viewpoint of Electus Matari in the future should the Republic’s views change or alter.

Wish I knew. Are you really going to hate on him for not going to war, though? I have distinct memories of various EM folks condemning him for not following Midular’s appeasement policies.
It’s looking like the problem with him is that he’s not Midular, not his policies at this point.

The point is that a toy war is a worse of both worlds. Either go full out or pull back completely. In a war of attrition the smaller party loses. That mathematics is not something I disagree with.
That said, you are not completely wrong. I underestimated the value personal loyalty holds for myself. Which, coming from my background, is rather odd, but I guess fish are blind to the water they swim in.
