EQM - EVE Quartermaster - Intel, Logistics, & Corporation/Alliance Management

Small pull-only update pushed that displays both base and modified standings on character sheets. Pull and rebuild from source for this please.

Small incremental pull-only update pushed primed for next versioned release that adds two retention policies for analytics to cut down on disk usage. One is full snapshots + record retention and the other is changes + daily checkpoints. Multiple corporation instances could consume large amounts of storage space over time so the option is there to keep all data, or to switch to a leaner method. A pull and rebuild will NOT change your current analytics storage settings, but new installs will select the leaner method.

Currently working on getting the fittings module at least somewhat more usable and a bit more reliable for a 1.0 release. This will not be a pyfa competitor. For exact values use something like Pyfa or EFT. It’s just there for utility, it’s gonna take a lot of work to get all the math right.

Also planning on adding an SRP module before 1.0 release as well.

EQM v0.1.18-beta — Learn It, Use It, Lose It and Get It Back!

EVE Quartermaster v0.1.18-beta substantially expands EQM’s fleet-planning, reimbursement, fitting, industry, export, synchronization, and analytics capabilities.

Download EQM v0.1.18-beta

New: Doctrine Management

Build complete operational doctrines rather than linking a single fit.

  • Create named, prioritized doctrines.
  • Attach multiple fittings to each doctrine.
  • Designate primary, core, and support fits.
  • Create fittings inline from EFT.
  • Link multiple skill plans, including fit-specific plans.
  • Combine plans into reviewed master skill plans.
  • Run multi-hub market appraisals for individual fits or the entire doctrine.
  • Archive doctrines without breaking historical events or SRP records.
  • Deep-link directly from a doctrine to its associated fitting or skill plan.

New: Skill Plans

Skill Plans are now integrated into Character Skills and Doctrine Management.

  • Build and edit plans manually.
  • Generate plans from doctrines and fittings using imported SDE Dogma.
  • Include hulls, modules, rigs, drones, fighters, charges, scripts, and recursive prerequisites.
  • Compare plans against linked characters.
  • See complete, partially trained, and missing requirements.
  • Merge multiple plans while retaining the highest requested level of each skill.
  • Export plans in an EVE-compatible clipboard format.
  • Download plans as UTF-8 text files.
  • Receive a warning when a plan exceeds EVE’s 150-level personal-plan limit.

New: Ship Replacement Program

EQM now includes a durable, operation-oriented SRP system.

Staff can create SRP instances for specific operations and distribute generated submission links. Pilots submit losses directly against the correct operation, doctrine, fitting, and character.

The workflow supports:

  • Draft, Submitted, Under Review, Approved, Rejected, and Paid states.
  • Open or closed operation intake.
  • Doctrine and fitting snapshots that remain accurate after later edits.
  • Configurable loss reasons and reimbursement values.
  • Duplicate, invalid, test, and cancelled record handling.
  • Optional encrypted killmail hashes.
  • Fixed-precision ISK values.
  • Append-only review and workflow history.
  • Permission-enforced officer review.
  • Stable character, corporation, alliance, location, and ship snapshots.

New: SRP Analytics

The new SRP Analytics workspace provides:

  • Loss and reimbursement trends.
  • Custom UTC/EVE-time reporting ranges.
  • Doctrine, fitting, ship, class, pilot, operation, organization, location, and status breakdowns.
  • Requested, approved, and paid reimbursement comparisons.
  • Reimbursement-gap reporting.
  • Data-quality indicators and aggregate drilldowns.
  • Detailed and aggregate CSV exports.
  • Proper treatment of unknown valuations—they remain unknown rather than silently becoming zero.

Members see only their permitted records, while officers receive the wider SRP view granted by their role.

Major Fitting Improvements

The fitting simulator’s common cold-fit calculation path has been rebuilt around imported SDE Dogma and character skills.

Improved calculations include:

  • Turret, launcher, and drone damage.
  • Hull and trained-skill bonuses.
  • Resistances and compensation skills.
  • Extenders, plates, repairers, and applicable rigs.
  • Capacitor capacity, recharge, and module draw.
  • Propulsion, agility, signature radius, and targeting.
  • Loaded ammunition, charges, and scripts.
  • Command bursts and burst charges.
  • Drone activation state.
  • T2 hull-skill routing.
  • Module fitting-resource reductions.

Additional fitting fixes include:

  • T2 ammunition such as Scorch and Conflagration now appears for compatible weapons.
  • Drone Damage Amplifiers, Drone Link Augmentors, and Omnidirectional Tracking Links import into their proper fitting slots.
  • Offline or inactive modules and drones no longer contribute active effects.
  • Command Bursts remain in high slots during import and draft repair.
  • Shield booster repair is no longer mistaken for permanent shield capacity.
  • Afterburner capacitor use now includes the applicable trained skills.

Reference fittings have been checked against Pyfa 2.68.0, with selected results also cross-checked against the EVE fitting simulator.

Send to EVE

Saved and draft fittings can now be sent directly to a selected linked EVE character.

EQM requests esi-fittings.write_fittings.v1 only when needed and keeps the resulting write authorization private to the owning account—even EQM staff cannot use another pilot’s fitting token.

Assets and Blueprint Exports

Assets and Blueprint Library data can now be exported as CSV or JSON.

  • Export the current filter or every accessible record.
  • Stable EVE type, item, owner, container, and location IDs.
  • Versioned export schemas and UTC generation timestamps.
  • Exact 64-bit IDs preserved safely in JSON.
  • BPO/BPC research and industry-job context.
  • Category, group, volume, pricing, and synchronization fields.
  • Optional owner and location suppression.
  • User-defined location aliases.
  • Keyed hashing for sensitive IDs.
  • The same authorization rules as the normal EQM interface.

Blueprint export location resolution now follows container and corporation-inventory ancestry to the containing station or Upwell structure. Exports distinguish resolved, parent-resolved, anonymized, inaccessible, and unresolved locations and include a data-quality summary.

Blueprints temporarily installed in ME, TE, or copying jobs also remain visible in the Blueprint Library and are no longer incorrectly reported as missing.

Research and Manufacturing

Manufacturing jobs now appear alongside ME, TE, copying, and invention in Research Projects.

This includes:

  • Character and corporation jobs.
  • Active and historical views.
  • Activity filters.
  • Manufacturing summary counts.
  • Installer, facility, timing, and status details.
  • Analytics attribution.

Sync and Freshness Center

Bulk synchronization is now much easier to follow.

  • Character Data, Character Skills, Mining, Research, and Planetary Industry jobs persist when you leave their module.
  • Returning to the module resumes the same progress indicator.
  • Active bulk coordinators appear in the ESI Sync & Freshness Center.
  • The center reports dataset age, active and failed jobs, never-synced data, missing scopes, and privacy-disabled collection.
  • Privacy opt-outs are identified as intentional states rather than failures.
  • Bulk-job visibility remains scoped to the account that started the job.

Analytics Improvements

Analytics received substantial storage, accuracy, and presentation improvements.

  • New Full History and Changes + Daily Checkpoints retention modes.
  • Lower-storage mode is the default for new installations.
  • Existing installations remain on Full History until changed by a host.
  • Metric-level aggregation and privacy metadata are now enforced.
  • Wallet balance metrics provide on-demand daily and weekly deltas, percentage growth, and 30-day rolling averages.
  • Historical ranges include an opening baseline from before the selected window.
  • New Change Composition reporting separates organic change from newly tracked coverage.
  • Newly linked characters no longer appear to have suddenly trained enormous amounts of SP.
  • Gain rankings require a real comparison baseline.
  • Charts now use dynamic ranges, readable tick intervals, peak headroom, adaptive date labels, and hover crosshairs.
  • Coverage notices report the history EQM actually possesses rather than implying a full selected period.

Additional Fixes

  • Fixed Doctrine and Skill Plan text fields losing focus after every keystroke.
  • Fixed repeated character-wallet journal entries failing an entire sync.
  • Fixed stale nested SDE files taking precedence over newer imported data.
  • Fixed duplicate placeholder groups during large SDE imports.
  • Fixed Character Data Sync appearing inactive while its bulk coordinator was running.
  • Character sheets now show both base NPC standing and skill-modified effective standing.
  • Duplicate-blueprint analytics now reads the current permission-scoped inventory.

Under the Hood

  • Added four database migrations for doctrines, multi-fit doctrines, linked skill plans, and durable SRP analytics.
  • Added an isolated Python 3.12 test image and Compose test profile.
  • Added versioned fitting-reference fixtures and provenance requirements.
  • Added a third-party research and licensing ledger.
  • Documented feature-direction research informed by the MIT-licensed EVE Buddy project while retaining an independent EQM implementation.
  • Current backend release suite: 242 tests passed, plus 3 subtests.
  • Frontend TypeScript and production Vite build verified.

This remains beta software, particularly around the long tail of EVE’s Dogma effect graph. Back up your installation before upgrading and please report any fitting, export, permission, or migration oddities you encounter.

EQM Killboard

The new EQM Killboard builds locally retained combat history using zKillboard for discovery and EVE ESI for authoritative killmail records.

  • Recent kills and losses
  • Character, corporation, and combined-account summaries
  • ISK destroyed, ISK lost, and efficiency
  • Solo versus fleet participation
  • Final blows and damage contribution
  • Most-used, destroyed, and lost hulls
  • Activity by system, region, and security class
  • Recurring opponents and frequently associated pilots
  • Kill/loss streaks and inactivity tracking
  • Direct links to the corresponding zKillboard pages
  • Incremental and resumable synchronization
  • Locally retained canonical ESI records and source payloads

Public combatants are resolved through ESI into recognizable character, corporation, and alliance names. Deleted or inaccessible entities retain explicit ID-based fallbacks instead of breaking analytics.

Killboard synchronization can refresh automatically when due, retains its cursor between visits, and preserves previously imported records when a source request fails.

zKillboard is used for discovery and enrichment. Its coverage should not be treated as a complete record of all combat activity.

Bounty Analytics

A new private, account-scoped Bounty Analytics module turns retained wallet-journal data into traceable ratting intelligence.

  • Detailed bounty payout ledger
  • Tick, hourly, and daily chart grouping
  • 1-day, 7-day, 30-day, 90-day, and all-history ranges
  • Pilot and historical-corporation filters
  • Total earned, average tick, largest tick, and active-pilot summaries
  • Pilot leaderboards with totals, tick counts, averages, and largest payouts
  • Drilldown from aggregate metrics to their contributing wallet entries
  • CSV export for external analysis

Bounty payouts are separated from ESS payments, mission rewards, market activity, and unrelated wallet income.

Corporate Tax Analytics

Where authoritative journal evidence permits it, EQM also reports:

  • Gross bounty
  • Corporation tax paid
  • Effective tax rate
  • Net bounty received
  • Tax totals by pilot and reporting period
  • Tax contribution drilldowns
  • Gross, tax, and net reconciliation coverage

Historical tax calculations preserve the corporation recorded when the entry was first imported. EQM does not retroactively apply a corporation’s current tax rate, and values remain Unknown when they cannot be safely established from ESI data.

Search All the Things

Large datasets should no longer require scrolling until morale improves.

Character Skills Finder

Find pilots by trained skills using:

  • Single or comma-separated skill names
  • All skills or Any skill matching
  • Minimum trained-level filtering
  • Matching pilot counts
  • Concise matched-skill badges

Examples:

  • Find everyone with Logistics Cruisers IV
  • Find pilots with both Jump Drive Calibration V and Jump Fuel Conservation IV
  • Find anyone with at least one requested capital-production skill

Additional Record Finders

Consistent search controls are now available for:

  • Research projects
  • Manufacturing jobs
  • Contracts
  • HyperNet offers
  • Jump clones
  • Clone implants
  • Custom implant sets

Existing Standings and Corporate Exchange searches remain available.

All searches respect the same visibility and authorization rules as their underlying modules.

One-Stop Character Synchronization

Sync all eligible on the Characters page now queues every authorized character dataset EQM collects:

  • Assets
  • Skills and skill queue
  • Fittings
  • Wallet history and transactions
  • Contracts
  • Industry jobs
  • Mining history
  • Planetary colonies
  • NPC standings
  • Jump clones
  • Active implants
  • Eligible corporation industry projects

If a character has multiple active ESI authorizations, EQM selects the newest token that is actually eligible for each dataset. One partial-scope authorization can no longer hide another usable token.

Progress displays the current character and readable dataset name on both the Characters page and the ESI Sync & Freshness Center.

Character-wide synchronization opt-outs remain hard exclusions. Wallet-history opt-outs skip wallet collection while allowing the character’s other authorized datasets to synchronize.

Better Analytics Scope

Analytics can now be scoped to:

  • All visible pilots
  • My data
  • A specific accessible corporation

The selected scope applies to eligible pilot history, skills, mining, research, planetary production, blueprints, standings, and corporation widgets without weakening Financial Analytics privacy protections.

Standings Movement

Four new baseline-aware widgets show the selected period’s:

  • Top 10 NPC corporation standing gains
  • Top 10 NPC corporation standing losses
  • Top 10 faction standing gains
  • Top 10 faction standing losses

Rankings use precise unmodified ESI base standings and exclude a pilot’s first observation so newly synchronized characters are not mistaken for enormous standing gains.

Exact Match Contact Sync

Character Contact Sync now includes an optional Exact Match mode.

After preview and confirmation, EQM can:

  • Create missing contacts
  • Update changed standings
  • Update watch-list states
  • Identify destination-only contacts
  • Remove contacts that do not exist on the selected source character

Operations are divided into ESI-safe batches and run as durable background jobs. Long multi-character copies return immediately, report per-target progress, survive page navigation, preserve completed targets when another fails, and recover queued or running work after a backend restart.

Reliability and Interface Improvements

  • Fixed wallet-journal synchronization exceeding PostgreSQL’s 65,535-parameter statement limit by using bounded, transaction-safe batches.
  • Removed enormous generated SQL dumps from Character Sync failure placards.
  • Fixed Jump Clone synchronization for clones located in Upwell structures by storing EVE location IDs as 64-bit integers.
  • Failed Jump Clone refreshes now explicitly confirm that previously synchronized data was preserved.
  • Character hover cards now render above tables and overflow panes.
  • Hover cards automatically reposition near viewport edges and follow scrolling or resizing.
  • Killboard entity names are retained in a dedicated refreshable cache.
  • Replaced the personalized Killboard heading with the installation-neutral EQM Violence Ledger.

Operator Notes

This release includes database migrations through 0074.

Apply the migrations and rebuild or restart the backend and frontend during the upgrade.

Killboard enablement, refresh period, historical lookback, request delay, and page ceiling can be configured by administrators without modifying source code.

As always, this remains beta software. Back up your database before upgrading, and please report anything suspicious—especially if the analytics imply your corporation has suddenly become organized.

Bugfix release: EQM v0.1.21.1-beta BUGFIX Release

EQM v0.1.22-beta — “After Action, Before the Jump”

EVE Quartermaster’s latest update brings better combat reporting, broader command-level analytics, safer capital navigation, and live traffic intelligence.

This release includes everything added since v0.1.21.1-beta.

Battle Reports

  • Reconstruct engagements dynamically from EQM’s existing Killboard data.
  • Review involved pilots, teams, organizations, timelines, damage, ship composition, losses, efficiency, and direct zKill evidence.
  • Browse older and newer engagements using stable historical records.
  • Correct unusual engagements with Edit Teams, including alliance-, corporation-, and pilot-level reclassification.
  • Share immutable public snapshots through revocable, unguessable links.
  • Public reports preserve the exact engagement and team assignments that were shared.
  • Added pilot portraits, corporation/alliance branding, ship imagery, and canonical SDE ship classes.
  • Improved friendly-fire and missing-affiliation handling so allies are not incorrectly classified as third parties.

Navigation and Traffic Intelligence

  • Added last-hour ESI activity to the Route Checker, Gatecheck, Jump Capable Ship Plotter, alternate jump candidates, and PvP Intel reports.
  • Every supported system can now display:
    • Ship jumps during the last hour
    • Ship kills during the last hour
    • Pod kills during the last hour
  • Traffic observations use ESI with a shared five-minute cache—no Dotlan scraping.
  • Supercarrier and titan routes now show only known Keepstar-class docking destinations.
  • NPC stations are excluded as supercapital docking targets.
  • Keepstar recommendations clearly warn that structural eligibility does not guarantee docking or tether access.
  • Refreshed character and corporation structure data can contribute accessible allied or public Keepstars.

Better Analytics for Leadership

  • Added role-aware scopes for:
    • My Pilots
    • All Pilots
    • Corporation
    • Alliance
  • Hosts and administrators can review bounty performance across all visible pilots instead of being limited to their own characters.
  • Directors remain constrained by their permitted affiliations.
  • Added convenient category navigation throughout Analytics.
  • Ordinary privacy opt-outs may contribute only to anonymous cohorts of at least three pilots.
  • Identifying drilldowns remain unavailable for those cohorts, helping prevent subtraction attacks.
  • HARD STOP data remains excluded from analytics for every role.

Sync and Deployment Improvements

  • Sync all eligible now queues every authorized character dataset registered with the Sync & Freshness Center, including Jump Clones and active implants.
  • EQM selects the newest usable authorization for each dataset when a character has multiple ESI tokens.
  • Bulk synchronization now reports the current dataset by its user-facing name.
  • Character and wallet privacy exclusions remain hard boundaries.
  • Hardened Docker build inputs to prevent local caches and development artifacts from contaminating production builds.
  • Added a significantly smaller WebP application logo for faster initial page loading.
  • Included the required database migrations for Battle Report shares, structure-type retention, and hourly system activity.

This remains beta software, so backups before updating are strongly encouraged.

I’ve discovered a somewhat serious security vulnerability and am patching it immediately. A hotfix is imminent. I’ll outline the flaw I’ve found once a fix is published. This does not affect running the project as a local only project.

##EQM - v0.1.23.1-beta — “Ooops, Let’s Patch That!” Hotfix

A production deployment issue exposed EQM’s Vite development server to the public internet. Automated scanners found it before they found anything useful, and this hotfix closes that door.

Hotfix: Hotfix Release v0.1.23.1-beta

Security fixes

  • Replaced the Vite development server with a compiled frontend served by Nginx.
  • Restricted frontend, backend, PostgreSQL, and Redis ports to the host.
  • Blocked Vite-specific and hidden-file probes.
  • Added security headers and rotating access logs.
  • Updated vulnerable Nano ID and PostCSS dependencies.
  • Marked Linux maintenance scripts executable.

No evidence of credential or sensitive-file disclosure was found. Updating is strongly recommended for remotely hosted EQM installations.

EQM v1.0 — The Bigger Slice of PI Release!

EVE is Excel in a flight suit. Let’s give the spreadsheet department a coffee break.

EVE Quartermaster is stepping out of beta with a bigger helping of Planetary Industry, better tools for keeping your pilots organized, and a little less “hang on, let me do the math.”

Feed the factory planet P2. Tell EQM what you’ve got. See the P3, the P4, what runs out first, and how long the whole operation should take. That’s the idea behind The Bigger Slice of PI Release!

README & full feature guide · Install EQM · v1.0 release · Screenshot gallery

What’s new since v0.1.23.1-beta?

A proper helping of PI

  • Production Calculator: choose a final product and the tier you actually feed into your factories. P2 → P3 → P4 chains are supported, including lower-tier ingredients a recipe needs directly. Shared ingredients are counted once, with complete batches, limiting materials, and leftovers shown.
  • Time you can plan around: set factory counts for each intermediate and the final product. See overlapping production, startup waits, and separate P3/P4 runtimes—with a breakdown for every product running within each tier. The old sequential estimate remains available for comparison.
  • Shortages AND surpluses: supply reports now put the missing materials and bright-green excess production where you can see them. Colony stock and selected corporate hangar stock have separate columns.
  • Corporate inventory monitoring: select a station or Upwell corporate hangar division, including stock inside nested containers. Your selected source is remembered in that browser.
  • Less typing: use Use selected hangar stock to fill the calculator, or the little I beside an ingredient to import just that quantity while keeping your other entries.
  • Refresh at the source: a Sync this corporation’s assets button sits beside the inventory selector. ESI refreshes corporation assets as a whole; it does not offer a location-only sync. Re-import calculator quantities after refreshing. ESI caching still applies.

Plan the operation before hauling the ingredients

The new PI Operation Planner compares production goals, weekly quotas, profits, and buying versus making inputs. It accounts for pilot skills and colony slots, candidate planets, facilities, customs, taxes, setup costs, hauling, and visits.

Market estimates use ESI orders at the selected supported trade hub, including available order depth. Save private scenarios, reopen calculation runs, replay saved prices, and export build/shopping CSVs. The recipe workbench adds inventory-aware dependency graphs and shopping requirements; system scouting helps find suitable planet types; the native template workbench generates and previews starting layouts.

These are planning estimates. Prices do not guarantee fills, scouting does not measure resource density, and generated templates still need placement, routing, and capacity checks in the EVE client.

More of the number-crunching has been rustified: native Rust now handles PI allocation, supply calculations, and production-chain math/timing, with Python retaining the application, authorization, and ESI responsibilities.

Pilots, exports, and clocks

  • PI character groups: My Characters Only is the default. My Corp Pilots is available to EQM directors and higher only for corporations where one of their own linked characters has verified corporate roles. An unprivileged alt in another corporation does not open that corporation’s pilots. Admins and hosts retain All Characters. The selection controls colony totals, supply reports, and exports, with access enforced by the server.
  • Skills exports: Export All CSV and Export All JSON cover profiles visible to your account. CSV includes distinct skill and queue rows, queue timing and SP fields, and sync metadata; JSON retains the full queue and totals.
  • EVE and local clocks now live in the top bar. Fleet time and your time, together.
  • Clicking the authenticated EQM logo returns to Overview.
  • Application versions are prepared for 1.0.0, published under tag v1.0, with the beta/prerelease label retired. Operator documentation now covers deployment and the PI tools.

More than a PI calculator

EQM is a self-hosted EVE Online operations suite for pilots, corporations, and alliances. The rest of the toolbox comes along for the ride:

Area What’s in the box
Pilots & readiness Character dossiers, corporation rosters, skills and queues, editable skill plans and prerequisites, jump clones and implants, ESI/SSO linking, sync visibility, and standings/contact tools.
Inventory & industry Assets, ownership and locations, BPO/BPC and ME/TE tracking, SDE recipes, manufacturing records, research projects, contracts, and private notes/resupply lists.
Mining & income Persistent mining history, residue-aware analysis, mining-operation settlements and payouts, private bounty analytics, and historical wallet/asset reporting.
Markets & trade Market appraisal, Corporate Exchange listings and auctions, and the manual-first HyperNet Tracker with offer economics and results tracking.
Navigation & intel Route planning, gatechecks, operational maps, jump-capable ship routing and fuel estimates, last-hour traffic, industrial/PvP intel, and Local Threat analysis.
Fleets & community Calendars, RSVPs and fleet registration, doctrines, SRP intake/review/analytics, killboards, battle reports with shareable snapshots, and recruiting pages and review workflows.
Administration Roles, section permissions, invitations, privacy controls, notifications, private messages, audit history, and historical analytics/exports.

The suite uses React, Python/FastAPI, Rust calculation engines, PostgreSQL, and Redis through Docker Compose. Source is available under AGPL-3.0-or-later. An optional Android WebView wrapper can also be built for sideloading.

A word about the Fitting Manager / Simulator

Non-Authoritative. For Informational Use Only. Still in development. Not PYFA-complete.

Saved fittings, imports, editable drafts, and simulation tools are available, but full feature and calculation parity with PYFA is not claimed. Check consequential fitting decisions against PYFA and the EVE client. Calling the suite 1.0 does not make this module finished.

Have a look around

Fresh captures show current components with synthetic demo data. Historical pictures are labeled as references, not passed off as the current interface.

Requirements & installation

Difficulty: approachable if you’re comfortable following a terminal guide; moderate if Docker and EVE SSO are new to you. The semi-automated scripts handle much of the setup, but this is a self-hosted application rather than a hosted signup service.

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 11 with WSL2, or a current 64-bit Linux distribution.
  • Runtime: Docker Desktop, or Docker Engine with Docker Compose v2; Git and reliable internet access.
  • Recommended capacity: 4 CPU cores, 8 GB RAM available to Docker / 16 GB host RAM, and at least 20 GB free disk space to start. Retained data needs room to grow.
  • EVE setup: a CCP Developer application for ESI/SSO, plus an imported EVE SDE for the full item, recipe, and skill-data features.

Run install-eqm.bat on Windows or ./install-eqm.sh on Linux. The helpers check prerequisites, can offer supported prerequisite installation, prepare local configuration and secrets, and build/start the containers. You’ll still create the CCP application, set its callback/configuration, fetch/import the SDE, and link your characters. Public hosting also needs HTTPS and reverse-proxy configuration.

Allow roughly 15–30 minutes with Docker already working, or 30–60+ minutes for a fresh setup. These are planning estimates: hardware, downloads, restarts, SDE import, initial syncs, and public-server configuration can take longer.

Start with the installation guide · SSO setup · SDE import

Upgrading? Back up your database, then use the documented update-eqm.bat / update-eqm.sh workflow. This update includes migration 0079_pi_planning; rebuild the backend and frontend together. The normal Docker build packages Rust and backend startup applies migrations. See the changelog and PI guide.

EQM - v1.0.1 - Are We There Yet? Update

Space is big. Now EQM can help answer the inevitable question: Are we there yet?

The new System Distances & Warp Time widget sits at the bottom of Navigation. Search for a solar system, select your starting point and destination, and see the distance in AU. Enter your warp speed and align time for a rough travel-time reference.

  • Browse gates, stations, accessible Upwell structures, planets, moons, and other supported celestial objects.
  • Use SDE positions, public ESI refreshes, and character-authorized Upwell lookups.
  • Estimates exclude acceleration, deceleration, docking, gate activation, and server delays. Use them as a rough reference only.

Updating: Rebuild the frontend and backend together. Backend startup applies migration 0080_system_distances. Existing installations can use Refresh ESI objects without a full SDE reimport.

EQM - v1.0.2 - “Now With More Faster!” Update

Less waiting for your space spreadsheets. More time to actually fly spaceships.

This update improves ESI sync efficiency by reusing HTTP connections across characters, fetching independent data in parallel, and avoiding repeat downloads while ESI’s cached responses are still valid.

What’s improved

  • Connection reuse: Less time spent opening new connections for every request.
  • Parallel fetching: PI planet details and character skills/queue requests can overlap.
  • Smarter caching: Public universe metadata can be reused across pilots; private data stays isolated.
  • ESI-aware pacing: A small 5% allowance cushion, server-requested pauses, and bounded retries help keep requests within ESI’s limits.

Early use feels noticeably faster, though we haven’t formally benchmarked the improvement. Results will vary with character count, data volume, and ESI conditions.

Updating: Pull latest source and rebuild the backend after any active sync finishes, or run the included update .sh/.bat file. No new database migration is required.

Fix requests, feature ideas, and feedback are always welcome. Fly safe—and spend less time watching the sync counter!

EQM - v1.0.3 - “Missions and Maps” Update

Navigation gets a searchable Star Map with security, hourly activity, stations, agents, and routes. Missions & LP adds agent discovery, mission-reference links, linked-character LP balances, and searchable rewards showing LP, ISK and required-item costs. Send systems, agents or corporation stations directly to the existing route planner. Rust handles jump-distance calculations, with a Python fallback.

The first map is a flat EVE-style view. DOTLAN and zKillboard open as external references. LP balances require your own linked pilot with the loyalty-read scope; LP coverage does not guarantee every redemption requirement is met.

Setup: download AND import the SDE

EQM needs imported static data for the map, stations, agents and item names. The fetch scripts download files only. Downloading, updating EQM, or running ESI Sync does not import the SDE.

  1. Update/rebuild backend and frontend first. Normal backend startup applies migration 0081_mission_atlas.
  2. From the EQM checkout on your installation host, run .\sde-fetch.bat on Windows or sh ./sde-fetch.sh on Linux/macOS. The default output is ./sde/sde.zip. Already downloaded a current YAML SDE? Reuse it. For remote installations, put it in the server’s mounted SDE folder.
  3. Sign in as admin: Settings → SDE Import → /sde/sde.zip → Import SDE. If you ran the fetch script with extract, use /sde. These paths assume the standard Docker mount.
  4. Wait for successful completion, then use Navigation → New Eden Atlas → Refresh data. Full imports include agents. Import agents only is for installations whose remaining static data is already current.

EQM - v1.0.4 - “Gamble the Night Away!” Update

The HyperNet ledger gets some love in this update—better tracking, clearer results, and a way to correct finished offers when yesterday’s numbers don’t survive today’s coffee.

:game_die: HyperNet improvements

  • Edit ended offers: Correct costs, payouts, winners, self-purchased nodes, and final results after an offer ends. Changes are audited, and the offer stays closed.
  • Refunded bids: Mark expired bids as Expired · refunded, keeping their history without counting them as losses or active exposure.
  • Character filters: View all your characters together or narrow offers, bids, history, and statistics to one pilot.
  • Clearer profit reporting: Profit before self-purchased nodes, node spending, and outside-winner results are shown separately—so a green headline doesn’t hide the cost of trying to win your own ship back.
  • Better item search: Exact item names now appear ahead of less relevant matches.

:money_bag: Wallets, killboards, and loyalty points

  • All My Characters wallet view: See combined balances, wallet history, income, spending, and growth, with transactions labelled by character.
  • Personal killboard fixes: Sync stays scoped to your linked, enabled pilots. Sync status respects account ownership, and running syncs can be cancelled.
  • Loyalty-point access fixes: Standard character relinks now request the loyalty-read permission, and refreshing Missions & LP updates pilot permission status properly.

:wrench: Reliability improvements

  • Compressed API responses reduce transfer sizes for large inventories and blueprint lists, helping prevent request timeouts.
  • Improved frontend proxy handling prevents stale backend addresses from causing gateway errors after container updates.

Updating: Rebuild the backend and frontend together using the normal update process. No new database migration is required. Pilots missing loyalty-point access may need to relink after updating.

Fly dangerous. Keep the receipts.
