The Metanox are limited by the number of Lava and Ice skyhooks, which can be raided during off times.
Man… you can transfer or trade those new ice/lava resources. Ok, fine. It’s limited by total number of these planets in EVE universe, well then PB’s just take it over.
It’s not an unlimited amount of resource, it is limited and can be disrupted and everyone will want it. A block controlling it means they will have to defend it 24/7 to get all of it. You can steal from Goons during their downtimes, or steal from Frat when they are sleeping. 10 minutes is a very short amount of time, short enough that ESI can miss it.

Yea it will be interesting to see how things turn out, either way what ever happens CCP will prob be watching the first few months to see what needs tweaking.
But in no way will this kill small group’s, I’ve been in small groups for over a decade and what the nullbears do has really 0 effect on us.
Even if we cannot live in sov null ourselves we can move into npc null, low sec, wormholes, poch, zarzakh, thera and just raid into null from there in only a few jumps.
The big nullblocks got their passives from transquility nerfed indirectly. They went to Iceland to cry and now they get a new passive. While the alternatives are getting nerf after nerf after nerf.
yyy no its mostly the opposit. with new sov structure and rebalance its going to be harder to hold sov without activity. Bye bye infinite renting empires

I agree , I think smaller groups are going to try capture some space as the patch hits.

I said nothing about keeping it long term but its definitely possible to get one.
One or two isnt a thing. Major force never give up valueable systems to a small noname group.
Do tell us how making holding sov even more activity based is good for the blocs.
Empty areas of claimed space will be vulnerable to raiding, raid alerts go out max 2 systems, how is this good for the blocs?
Please explain how making the blocs spend an absolute bloody fortune putting a medium structure into every single system they wish to keep and upgrading the POCOs on every Lava and Ice planet they own is good for the blocs.

the danger isn’t in losing space to small groups, it’s the raiding.
The raid alert for the new system only goes out 2 systems. If you have a lot of unoccupied space, raiders are going to be a very big problem for keeping your structures going. They need those resources that are being raided left and right.

Only 2 systems damn that’s great, which means the smallest economic size is between 5 and 11 systems depending on how many connections from the core system that people live in.
CCP seem to have thought this through pretty well.
Equinox is THE RIGHT THING TO DO FOR EVERYONE. Thanks CCP for doing the right thing, giving nullsec backs its passive income. Create MORE reasons for nullsec to fight for nullsec space and not simply farm highsec players for taxes. You are making the correct decisions and I support this patch for the record.
from what it looks like right now, looks like new system is centered around constellations, not grabbing as much space as possible. The three new resource types are system energy, constellation workforce, and materials pulled off ice and lava planets moved manually.
Also, most of the new structures are medium, so it’s a couple Fortizars worth of materials in each system before you build anything else. Definitely expensive enough to make the blocs reevaluate the amount of space they hold, because while there’s a grace period to put new structures up, CCP isn’t replacing any of the current infrastructure. The CCP live stream I watch on the structures said the old ones will simply be removed.

Don’t expect it overnight, though. That automated miner is a medium structure, so it’s expensive to build. It’ll still be more efficient to manually mine your more valuable moons, but no more wasting time on low quality pops.
