ESS Mechanic's need rebalanced

ESS is ruining Null Sec its being abused for its mechanic’s rather than used for its intended purpose
its being used as a fleet evasion tool or harassments tool the mechanics provides too much kiting capability to an system invading capsuleer, between the ESS and Jump Invonnerablty a person,group,fleet can pretty much run around entire sovereignty owned regions with little to no consequences unless they aggress

I agree, the way ESS have been added to the game created easy access to a deadspace grid in every null sec system, which has unintended consequences for the game.

While I think the ESS itself is fine, I hope CCP can take another look at why the grid in front of the gate has to be deadspace.

As it is it creates a zone where cloaky campers and fast ships are invulnerable to interaction as there is no way to catch up to a player when combat probes and warping is disabled.

Please remove deadspace there.

I agree, its intended purpose was a place where Bounty resources IE, ISK could be stolen and or protected and in the case of null sec a place where sovereignty ISK making can be stolen/ protected.

people do still steal from it and protect it but the ladder is that the mechanic’s are being abused to simply generate immunity for groups or fleets in systems and because of the combinations of Safes, cloaking, ESS Mechanics , gate jump immunity and bouncing between pings, there is almost no ability to stop a group or individual if they do anything other than afk unless you can force a capsuleer/group to agress even stopping one individual requires a group effort of bubbles but even then the person can abuse gate mechanics by crashing back and forth or nano fit.

my idea is to make tech 2 scrams capable of preventing star gate activation and that landing on 0 at a gate will not land you immediately within activation distance but rather a few thousand meters from activation range allowing for a very brief window for scrams , that way you cant be gate camped coming out due to immunity but there is risk jumping into systems - IE risk and reward and to remove dead space outside of ESS and only dead space inside
