EVE Buddy: A companion app for desktop and mobile (v0.40)

EVE Buddy is a multi-platform companion app for Eve Online players. It is available on Windows, macOS, Linux and Android.

The following is an overview of EVE Buddy’s key features. All features are available for both desktop and mobile:

  • Character monitor: Check current information about each of your characters, e.g. inspect the training queue of a character or browse it’s assets.
  • Corporation monitor: Check current information about each of your corporations: e.g. check corporation wallets or see all current members.
  • Overviews: Keep track of and get unique insights about all your characters and corporations with consolidated views, e.g. find assets across of your characters or see which character has manufacturing slots available.
  • Notifications: Get notified on your desktop or mobile about new EVE communications and other important updates, e.g. a structure was attacked or a training queue became empty.
  • New Eden search: Search live on the game server, similar to in-game search bar, e.g. search for characters, corporations solar systems.
  • Information windows: Show additional information for most objects on screen, similar to in-game information windows, e.g. the sender of a mail
  • Mail client: Send and receive EVE mails for all your characcters
  • Run in Background: The app can run in the background and continue to notify you while you are doing something else (e.g. play Eve Online)
  • Theming: Configurable color theme, e.g. light and dark.

EVE Buddy is free and and open source. The app is in active development and any feedback, suggestions and contributions are very welcome!

Looks great! Wasn’t able to download my assets or transactions, but other than that everything else seems to be working.

Yeah the Fyne GUI toolkit is really nice for make GUI apps in Go. And it also supports Android and iOS, so I might extend the app to mobile at some point. But currently my main focus is the desktop.

I would love too, but AFAIK it is currently not possible to retrieve the PLEX wallet balance from ESI.

Yes. I am actually developing primarily on Linux Desktop (Ubuntu). Works great

Confirmed. Appimage booted right up and had my EVE data and a single toon updated within 5 minutes.

Recently added key features (up to 0.10.):

  • Desktop notification when a training queue runs empty
  • View of current PI colonies per character
  • List of PI colonies for all characters
  • Desktop notification when when an extraction expired

  • You can now also see the contracts for yours characters and enable notifications for contract status changes

EVE Buddy 0.13. - Now also available for Android

I am happy to announce that EVE Buddy is now also available for Android.

The android version has a different and mobile friendly navigation. But underneath it is the same app and it has the same features like on desktop.

The Android version like the rest of the app in still in development and I would very much appreciate you guys trying it out and letting me know what you think.

Since the app is not yet available on any app store, please see the installation instructions for how to install the app your Android phone

Hmm, I tried to add a Character, but after login and authorizing the esi permissions, it just loads for some minutes and then says “connection timed out”.

Android is V12 on a customized (jailbreaked) Samsung S10E.
Browser is Firefox for Android 135.0.1

I can login on the EVE Online page, see my characters, select one and click “authorize”, but then after the loading progress is at around 25% it stops. I will try another browser, maybe it’s a cookie/privacy setting problem.
