Eve Inter-System Travel?

nobody “talks” the way you do here.. that’s why we all have a firm belief that you are not an actual person but a bot no less.

There will ALWAYS be opposition to any ideas here. Why? You get the old fogies who don’t want to see change. Or you may see some like an idea if there is plausability that it will add QoL in a positive way.. NOTHING you post is on a positive side of the coin.

If this game wasn’t challenging or made you think, or made you better at playing the game, or make you stop and think before you do something, then what fun is it? Some games i like easy mode, other games i like challenge.. this is a challenging game…

Personally, I think the players who camp out on Jumpgates and Stations in High Sec space are loitering which, after a set period of time, should gain a Suspect flag…

Realistically, those Suspects should actually be getting ‘Loitering’ fees taken from their wallets, similar to how ‘Customs’ NPC’s do when you jump with illegal Contraband…

Course that’ll never happen but if it did, would definitely farm a lot of salt…

You can just go attack them and bust their camp?

Did you notice that “Veterans” are entertaining this thread?

Ignoring the point.

I know how to avoid losing my ship. Still, I complain about the game mechanics forcing me to waste my time instead of entertaining me.

The issue is that there are those of us, who play this game, who really quite like those mechanics and feel they make a core part of EvE and thus make EvE the game it is.

It’s no surprise that we thus suggest you play some other game if you don’t like the core gameplay of EvE.

Joe Amiedoule Vemane is often more wordy than necessary and usually vague about their true intention.

I however think to know what their intention is:

to whine about upcoming ansiblex nerfs

and make it sound reasonable by trying to nudge the discussion into that direction instead of outright saying it, because whining about force projection nerfs gets laughed at.

Why would Joe be sad about the upcoming ansiblex nerfs?

Well usually Joe is very secretive about their main, and very vague with their statements. Occasionally he however shows to know far more details than any non-Imperium member knows about the woes of miners specifically in Insmother who have to deal with gate camps and blue scouts, and has made suggestions to tackle specifically these ‘destructive’ strategies, as well as a lot of other suggestions that initially made little sense to me as reader but make far more sense if made from the perspective of a non-PvP miner in Imperium space who dislikes all the hostiles who threaten his mining ships there.

The unaffiliated forum face Joe and his equally anonymous corp were made right after the first announcement of ansiblex nerfs a few months ago.

Given that I now understand Joe’s precarious position of a vulnerable miner in Imperium space full of hostile roams, blops groups, gate camps and blue scouts, and that I now realize he soon will be exposed even longer because of upcoming nerfs to inter-system travel specifically targeting such a large group as his, let me laugh even harder at these threads.

It seems unlikely that this is true, based on your previous comments. For instance, you have previously described safely traversing the map as a solo player to be essentially impossible:

Now, while your assertion here is obviously incorrect, that you said it implies that it is likely true for you. If safely traversing the map by yourself seems almost impossible to you, I think it’s fair to say that you don’t know how to avoid losing your ship by any means other than remaining docked up.

Alternatively, you are simply saying things you do not believe and know to be untrue for the sake of being provocative.

You seem not to be wanting to learn or actually discuss mechanics. I wrote a lengthy post above that you just ignored and instead chose to just flame and argue around with offtopic nonsense discussions. In your own thread where you ask for input.

But maybe this is not about input at all. Or rather not about “unwanted” input.

Prove me different and try the methods all out and tell me which one improved your gameplay.

So close, but still wrong.

I have clearly stated my thoughts on the upcoming update changing force projection. Those thoughts are in the correct discussion. I clearly think that the proposed change will harm the entertainment value for a significant portion of the Eve Online player community.

However, negative feedback does not help Fenris Creations. They still have a problem statement that must be resolved. Here is @Gerard_Amatin 's response:

Please note the straw-man argument. He completely ignores my distinction between PVP with both sides of the PVP having fun, and PVP tactics that encourage Eve Online Rage-Quits (only one side enjoys it).

In multiple discussions, I have expressed that small groups struggle for space and existence within the current game mechanics. @Gerard_Amatin suggests small groups must join large groups as the solution. More simply stated, small groups cannot exist; their only game option is to become members of the large player groups destroying them. Totally ignores the social value of small groups. I choose to not join Goonswarm Federation, Put the Fries in the Bag, Seige Green, or Brotherhood of Spacers alliances. This is not a reflection on those alliances. Those player groups offer valuable social content to their members. Who else offers combat fleets with over a hundred players fleet warping?

Some people prefer smaller groups. Me being one such player. I value quality interactions over quantity. In my corporation fleets, we mix up the fleet and corp chat channels without any complaints. Members are free to chat off-topic in both. There is enough idle time in the channels to allow it. When channels go beyond a dozen players, stricter rules must be enforced to preserve the channel function. The trade-off being less time for individual players to interact in the channels.

It is rather obvious that I started this discussion with a purpose related to “The Future of Force Projection” discussion. @Gerard_Amatin at least got that part correct. However, he uses dishonest debate tactics here to silence this discussion. Why?

I started this discussion in order to give the constructive feedback regarding force projection and Inter-System Travel. Try to encourage other players to share their honest thoughts. Have more than just me offer suggestions. @Gerard_Amatin keeps trying to control this conversation and steer it into his narrow minded opinion. Gate camps and shuttle bombings must remain unchanged in his opinion. All other voices must be silenced by him.

Please share your opinion. I am eager to hear it. @Gerard_Amatin does not control this conversation. We do.

No, thank you. I don’t want to be part of your strange threads and discussions anymore, where you can’t tolerate other opinions and also don’t react on constructive feedback.

And that statement goes both ways, meaning it applies equally to all…

There is a difference between claiming total nonsense (which isn’t an “opinion”, it’s blatantly wrong) and having an opinion based on proven facts.

You can have the “opinion” that the Harbinger is beautiful and the Brutix is ugly. And yes, both sides should tolerate each others views. Whoever claims here to have the one and only true wisdom is just an idiot.

But if you claim that the Harbinger is superior to the Brutix in every way, thats not an opinion any more, thats nonsense that can easily be proven wrong. And doing that isn’t “intolerance”.

Just as a reminder…
