EVE lag happening a lot recently?

I’ve noticed a lot of lag spikes & bugs lately in EVE.

Most notably, without warning the client locks up… It feels like I’ve disconnected and waiting to time out… except the chat (eg fleet chat) still works perfectly normally.

This has gotten me killed in the past and it’s happening a lot more often lately.

Randomly being in some sort of EVE lag for 30s - 1min feels like forever when you are on grid with enemies.
Have you fellow players noticed an up tick in lag spikes & other odd bugs very recently?

Have a close look at the killmail & 5mn micro (one of the many odd bugs ive come across recently)
but its the EVE lag spikes that have me not wanting to play EVE.

My experience as well. Rubberbanding is on the rise again, module activation or deactivation or the time between starting warp and being able to activate cloak is ridiculously inconsistent.

The wrong icons are a known issue: [Known issue] Icon replacement issue

Nope, I don’t have lag. I’m playing on a Mac.

As Dyver already said --that 5MN MWD icon error should be reported through a bug report or on the forums here on that link. CCP is trying to get these fixed.

I do a lot of exploring and I notice the lags a lot while in the hacking minigame. i can click on three nodes and nothing happens, then all three appear on a single tick. It’s only about 2-3 seconds but it is extremely annoying

IIRC, the actual chat servers are entirely separate from TQ and that is probably the explanation for this particular behavior.

Most likely, your issue lies somewhere between you and TQ. You can try something like ping plotter to determine where the issue might be (sometimes helpful if the problem is within your own ISP’s network).

A VPN will also sometimes help/outright fix an issue like this due to advantageous peering and/or incidentally routing around the problem.

change in route will disconnect you anyway, not lag the client. when I have several clients open, not all of them are affected, so I would rule out the ‘between you and tq’-part. could be a local pc issue with some hardware-related race conditions or the game client itself. As I didn’t change anything on my computer, my main suspect is still the game

edit: I want to add that I started noticing lags after when ccp changed processing some stuff from cpu to gpu

You’re misunderstanding what I am saying.

I wouldn’t. What the OP is describing can basically be summarized as intermittent packet loss, the trouble with which is that it is… intermittent.
