Nice to see you can enjoy the Canadian outdoors. I am just below you on the 43rd latitude and our weather has been miserably HOT and sweaty this week. At my age, I am indoors sucking A/C, keeping hydrated, and blaming those who stick their heads in the sand on climate change. 
Interesting event, I will have to keep it on my calendar as a reminder. I might send my PvP character over to assist him. I could at least do some damage to the attackers, but a horrible thought would be, what if little to no defenders show up, and he gets obliterated before leaving high sec? It is only my opinion, but it seems more people here love wearing the black hats.
I did voice my opinion about changes they made, before they made them. My two biggest peccadilloes with the game over the last 2 or 3 years is;
Photon UI - made it very hard to see where columns begin or end. Serious lack of visual options. Overall felt like a downgrade to me.
“Docking” graphic slab at every station - Aura announces we are docking, it tells me in text I am docking, and then they added the horrible neon flashing sign that I am docking. Gee, I wonder if I could be docking or something? Let’s add another, “Hey moron you are docking!” message. Obviously we just cannot get enough. I just want to be able to turn it off.
I felt, if they didn’t make the change by now, it is not important to them. One day, if they do change it, I might get so surprised I will die of an aneurysm.

Thanks for posting another edition of Eve News, Weather and Sports…
Player Features & Ideas subforum - I think you should have mentioned it’s not meant to be a shooting gallery… That forum is meant for Eve related ideas to be proposed, analyzed, refined and then hopefully endorsed by CCP…
Too many old bitter Vet’s constantly uphold the Status Quo by aggressively attacking and objecting to any proposed changes, even small changes, resulting in no discourse to help improve the idea…
Ultimately the thread get’s derailed which then chases the OP away and more than likely discourages others from proposing ideas…
Anyway, thanks again for posting…

Yes Eve Online has a calculator. - At time index 5:52
The most horrible calculator ever. I could do math faster in my head without all the cursing. I really dislike the calculator. If you need one, ALT+TAB to the Windows calculator. For more advanced math have a spreadsheet open in the background.

In terms of No Man’s Sky, the Otomainen system shows a very different vision for EVE Online in terms of how the player interacts with the environment. Lots of cool concepts were tried in COSMOS.
Would be cool mission content for EVE Frontier to have hidden agents or stations that you had to many pilot too I.e fly through a hollow asteroid to land at a hidden station or using a bunch of keys to go through gates.
While it’s great they’ve improved the UI of the calculator, I’ve recently found it lacking in making accurate calculations.
