Victoria BC is a very green city so I understand why you might think that. I do have a large backyard where I film some episodes under one of the apple trees.
About the age restriction in UK and Canada, wonder what they will do when those “children” hit the streets and start throwing rocks at windows because they are bored? I know those politicians think, the kids opinions will not matter, because they can’t legally vote. Increase of crimes committed by minors will be a real problem, if or when they enforce that into a law.
Long while back, in my city, there was an abandoned building being vandalized by kids (teens). Those arrested and fined gave the same reason for doing it, “Nobody lives in there, we were just bored, and had nothing to do.”. My city did the smart thing for a change and renovated the building into a public recreation center. The teens were given public service to clean up the mess instead of juvey time.
Seems like the more time marches on the less intelligent the courts and laws become. You are correct in their agenda, they seek control, they see anyone with access to the internet as a threat. Knowledge is power.
I know my city built a skate park. I noticed, others are talking about this chat ban over at UK Social Media Ban. It was in general but it was moved there. I don’t think you want the mods to relocate your thread too.
