The signature deception module idea seemed interesting. Maybe a big downside like a chance to overload and blow up the ship or such. Moot point now, though.

Correct guess. Thus at least this way they could mine but would not be as obvious. Though probably would likely mostly work in hisec and even then if the ganker scout is lazy / amateur.

NBSI = Not Blue, Shoot It…
NRDS = Not Red, Don’t Shoot…
NPSI = Not Purple, Shoot It…

I doubt very much horde wanted to see those structures blown up. I am equally certain the last thing they wanted was to lose credibility in protecting those small corps that rent from the Horde.
Up till now the Horde was used to being able to wield the bigger stick than anyone else. Goonswarm is demonstrating that the Horde can wield that big stick, but it sure has a lack of understanding how to use it. Otherwise the Goons would not have taken a system that now makes it harder to get capital ships down to the contested and already taken systems. The only fix I see happening. It is Goonswarm fixing the Hordes little red wagon.
Though this war is having a decided net positive effect on my bottom line as some things are selling better now than they had previously. Yeah me!

It doesn’t necessarily break my heart to see a renter alliance taken apart… Would be interesting to see what the region truly looked like without any “blues”.

Hey Mike, I got myself up in the hospital… again. So I will be off until the 14th. I can still enjoy your news on the cell phone. I don’t think it is too serious, but they always label me “high risk” and slap in the ICU for the first 2 or 3 days.
About that idea about false ship signatures. Assuming CCP ever changes their minds, you might suggest they attempt doing it like this;
The module is called a “Stolen Transponder” it emits a false signature, with a 25% chance of failing on every scan. They could also make another module for the other ships to punch through and get the accurate data.

Actually what is being said on youtube by the Goonswarm. Is that they have zero intentions on holding on to any of these systems. That once the structures are gone. They will leave.
Leaving those systems for who ever wants them and can defend them. With the warning that should horde come back. The expectation is that the Horde will. They will be back to fight yet again.
What I am seeing from these videos and hearing from friends inside the Goonswarm alliance/Imperium. Is that this is to drive the renters. Namely the horde out. Make renting difficult and more of a hassle than it is worth.
Basically the Goonswarm being what they are.. The horde being the largest renting Alliance catching the ire of the Goons because it is fun.
That seems petty.
