I loved the face palm at the start of your talk about Google Deepmind. AI is a tool and unfortunately Microsoft plans ( rumor ) to use it as the next OS wrapper. We should know more about it this year, but I am no fan of Windows and I am less a fan of AI.
I recall making a chatbot back in the 80’s myself. It was based on the Dr. Eliza code from the 60’s. Damn, I am getting old. No matter how good the algorythm, the AI will always make mistakes. Ask yourself, if you really want a shovel that can dig up all your azaleas, when all you wanted it to do was some simple gardening? That is the kind of tool AI is at present.
Back in the 90’s we had the middle man, who we asked what we should do next. But we never asked it that way, we would ask, What is your opinion about all this? More often than not, they were wrong too. AI in games, sure why not. AI in sensitive areas of technologies, God help us all.
