I wish I could say I was more excited about Legion. It features an alpha map that is less functional than the previous one, an alpha version of Freelance projects (which is entirely useless outside of null-sec), a 15+ billion Marauder and a 50+ billion pirate dreadnought.
The ship cruiser/logi rebalance is nice, but this is something that could’ve been released as a small patch.
The new artwork and SKINR design elements are great (no mention of the latter in the release notes) - but that’s basically it. The art team always hits it out of the ballpark, though…
I am looking forward to Freelancers, but it does require a few more things to be added to make it something beyond a scam tool. Let’s see what the future brings.

I don’t like the gamification of the log in rewards. I think one thing the Chinese Government has shown that it is ahead of the West are the restrictions on daily login rewards and loot boxes.

Just wanted to mention that the free 10 PLEX in the NES was only available to Omega accounts…
When CCP first implemented the free 10 PLEX offer and the 7 Days Omega time for 10 PLEX offer, I logged in on my main, this account, collected the free 10 PLEX and then bought the 7 Days Omega time which was added to my account…
Checked my other 4 Alpha accounts and the free 10 PLEX offer wasn’t available even though the 7 Days Omega time for 10 PLEX offer was available…
So naturally I contracted 10 PLEX from my main to my 4 Alpha accounts, bought the 7 Days Omega time for 10 PLEX and got them all training skills again…
Unfortunately since I didn’t wait till the last day to buy that 7 Days Omega offer, my alt accounts only collected full rewards for the first half of the Log-In rewards…
Next time I will definitely have to do some proper planning when CCP offers deals like that…
Anyway, thanks for posting these Eve News updates…
