Some more images of the Moon taken on 09/09-10/2019

I know that you are probably getting tired of Moon shots but until I DSC (Deep Space Camera) to take photos of DSO’s (Deep Space Objects) this is all I have to offer.

I’m still learning post-processing techniques as well.

Hopefully in a few weeks I will be able to post some shots of Jupiter and Saturn.

The main reason why the images don’t look sharp is because I am using my LG7 ThinQ camera that really isn’t meant for astrophotography

I found The Bodybuilder in the Moon.

Men and Women of the past have lifted mountains on their shoulders for those who cannot. The Moon has seen such men and women and recorded their legacy with the Bodybuilder in the Moon.

Once again Atlas calls on his men and women to lift the planet above its origin on your shoulders and support the Return to the Moon mission in 2024.

“And woman on the left and man on the right side of the Moon clenched, hand in hand cradled the Moon. With a free hand they both reached for the top of what the Moon had set the challenges out before them to be.”

See the next image for clarity.

“Take this tome and set about your mantles a new statue dedicated to strength, courage, wisdom and love.”

It would be a very good and wise and worthwhile idea to save resources on the moon, so we can get them back, if the earth was to suffer a cataclysm which could damage those resources here.
Maybe increase of chance of survivability on the moon, and time period of such survivability on the moon as well, would be important in such case of emergency.

Of course, that could also be used in case of war, however, the damage of such cataclysm may be more serious and happen before such war ever reaches such powers in scope anyways.

It is much easier to do so on the moon than on Mars for now, although that Mars is much further away, and so, would not suffer potential damage which would occur on the moon, should the earth suffer a cataclysm.

I believe the great pyramid was build after such cataclysm, or before them, or both, and that other ones are designed with that respect in mind.

Of course, it’s important to do it for good reasons and not let vanity take the best and the better out of it.

Mars if more complex to reach but would still be feasible , especially for robotics travel, such as we have done there so far.

We could and should have more human bases on the moon, even if those bases there are to be inhabited by automated machine under human control here on earth.
We would have to make sure to deal with failing systems so that the ones which are operational are not failing due to the previous failing systems, as if some kind of chain reactions, from a chain of events which goes out of control.
We could also test how to store non-perishable food, or other elements to reproduce life, should conditions here on earth prove to be too adverse for us to subsist without being subdued and unable to do anything , no matter what.

The design of the great pyramid was done to subsist test of time, and to leave trace of that time on the structure, so that, if and when submerged by flood water over most land on earth, at which point it is in a relative center of, that the water mark would show when receding.

The level of erosion could show how long the water was over it while the structure below it would still stand the test of time.
That would show if generations died and other generations survived.

Also, failure and death in space is better done under natural circumstance than accident, since such cataclysm as seen as such accident, and that our efforts to work in space is related to this, from start.

Did you read about the newest planet, K2-18b, that Hubble discovered to have water vapor in it’s atmosphere?

K2-18b is 110 light years from Earth. Did K2 develop during the same time period that Earth did?
K2 most likely has a similar EM field that the Earth does. Otherwise the solar winds from it’s Dwarf Star would have blown the cloud layer away exposing the surface to the harmful Ultraviolet radiation leading to a more Mars like planet that would sublimate any water away from the planet over millions of years.

K2-18b is 2.3 times wider than Earth. With K2-18b also being 8 times as massive as Earth, K2-18b would have been able to clear the area of an dust forming around the Dwarf Star, thus adding the dust to its evolutionary processes. The amount of water on K2-18b based on its mass and width and that water vapor has been discovered in the atmosphere, could be comparable to being able to cover the Earth in water three times over. Under ground aquifers would lead from the near un livable oceans on the tidally locked side into pristine underground lakes as well as feeder lakes branching off of the underground lakes.

Therefore we can also speculate that the core of K2 is active, and the planet has considerable volcanic activity. In order for Earth to maintain its atmosphere the core has be active causing tectonic plate movement. With enough active volcanoes on K2 being active layers of volcanic ash spewed into the atmosphere would block a percentage of the Ultraviolet radiation from the Dwarf Star making life more likely. The layer of volcanic ash would be regulated so precisely that underneath of the layer of volcanic ash there could exist a primitive age of dinosaurs similar to the age of dinosaurs here on Earth.

At higher elevations, mountains would not have any ice or snow because the intense UV would melt most of the polar snow and ice on the side facing the Dwarf Star. As the frozen organics begin to thaw bacteria would thrive in these higher regions due to the amount of frozen organics thawing and becoming food. On the cold side not facing the Dwarf star thermal conveyance would transfer heat from the tidally locked side that would create near dark winters such as Alaska has. The further that you would travel to the exact point opposite of the Dwarf Star on K2 would create a year round darkness. Snow and ice would present but would eventually sublimate into the atmosphere creating clouds that would then evaporate into water vapors as the clouds crossed into the tidally locked side of K2. Because some of the clouds on the dark side of K2 would contain particles of ash along with organics making the water drop heavier, some of the water, when vaporized at the lower levels of K2, would create great regions of fog and mist that would provide an abundant source of nutrients and herds of reindeer along with predatory animals.

Tardigrade could also definitely survive at the higher elevations given their survival characteristics. Where there is water and organics there is surely to be Tardigrades. With the massive number of Tardigrades present higher evolved bacteria would be able to feed on the Tardigrades and so forth until a winged bird feeds on the snail. Tardigrades might even be the first life form encountered when collecting water vapor samples from the upper atmosphere.

The side of K2 facing the Dwarf star would most likely be nearly un-inhabitable except under the cover of volcanic ash clouds where animals ranging from birds to reindeer would flourish. As the volcano ceased to erupt and spew ash the animals would seek the next volcano thus creating a migration patter similar to Humpback Whales that would include predatory animals who migratory patterns would either follow the herds or would go into a state of dormancy until the herds return. Or predatory animals could even have learned to evolve and did underground tunnels between each volcano to hunt the herds of animals taking shelter under the volcanoes protective ash cloud.

Some animals and insects that could exist on the Ultraviolet drenched K2 would be:

Butterflies, Reindeer, Birds, Black-Eyed Susans (flower), Bees, Sockeye Salmon and Scorpions.

The birds would feed on the Bees, Butterflies and other flying insects.
The Bees would feed on the flowers creating large caches of honey that could reside between the most temperate point of the locked side and the dark side of K2. Or like the underground animals locked side bees could go dormant during each phase of a volcano returning. When the volcano they are living under becomes active, spews its ash and blocks out the UV radiation for a time. Flowers bloom, the Bees become active collect the pollen and make it into honey while pollinating the next phase of flower seeds. Bees that hibernate on the locked side of K2 would also provide underground animals and insects with source of nourishment in the form of honey and the bees themselves.

The seeds drop onto the ground and are eaten by birds and other insects or reindeer like animals. Some seeds would make it into a dormancy phase to grow again once the UV levels were lessened by the volcanic ash. From volcanic ash we would get carbon dioxide that plants and flowers along with microbes would consume to release oxygen as a waste bi-product.

Some bacteria that can create oxygen that grow only in the absence of oxygen, would be Clostridium, Bacteroides, and the methane-producing archaea (methanogens), are called obligate anaerobes because their energy-generating metabolic processes are not coupled with the consumption of oxygen.
Oxygen can be produced from a number of materials, using several different methods. The most common natural method is photo-synthesis, in which plants use sunlight convert carbon dioxide in the air into oxygen.

UV radiation would have a severe and detrimental effect on the marine life of K2, especially on the tidally locked side of K2. Marine animals such as algae, corals, crustaceans, “Did somebody call?” Thanks, Sebastian the Lobster everyone, fish larvae and eggs would all die off thus greatly reducing the food chain for larger marine life such as the Sockeye Salmon. As we move towards the darker side of K2 and where volcanic activity along rising continents was the greatest is where we would see marine life flourish as the reduction of UV radiation would be prevalent.

…but what lives in the deeps of K2’s tidally locked oceans and creeps in to feast on a passing pod of whales heading to their winter feeding grounds opposite the Dwarf Star is uncertain.

So there is a chance that animal, insect, avian, mammal and marine life does exist on K2.

K2-18b Speculation Report

K2-18b is a “bread crumb” planet if all that is discovered in its atmosphere is water vapor.

If an alien scout ship would ever discover K2-18b the aliens or the “rats” would definitely come looking for the “whole loaf”. The whole loaf being Earth.

Images from Lunar Survey 9.14-15.2019

I used the most zoom that I could with my Smartphone to take these images that’s why they look so blurry. Adjusting the rig to get the correct focus threw most of the video into a blurry image. Just a twist here and there was more than enough to throw the video out of focus.

My best guess would be that the “probe” is about 25,000 feet away from the Moon’s surface.

I’m getting better.

The next time I am out I am gonna try using the Slow Motion Video capture that records in real time but plays back in slow motion. Hopefully the Slow Motion will yield better quality images.

All of the distortion is from pausing the video and then snipping the image from the video.

I plan to get a beauty such as this one

or something similar to that price range (2000 euros/dollars). My only concern is light polution but I guess I can always take my car and leave Athens for the countryside.

For now I am observing the sky with Binoculars but I used to own a cheap 150 euros telescope 20 years ago , was a bit of pain because everything was manual and upside down but a ton of fun.

Very nice rig. Do you plan on getting a smartphone adapter for it to take pictures and video with?

I take all of my pictures and videos with my cell phone. Not that best quality but it beats paying $500 for the better cameras at the moment.

If you do get an adapter, get the more expensive one for your phone or it will most likely wear out after a few uses.

Only buy from Celestron as well as the other versions that might look the same that are for sale on Ebay or Amazon are using made very cheaply.

I can’t wait to see some your images.

The image above makes the Moon look entirely different due to the way that the camera mode and the phone adapter interact.

The image can’t get much better than this. The best option is to get a better telescope such as an 8" for better image focusing.

I was finally able to get a snap shot of Jupiter and three of it’s moons tonight with my Smartphone.

Jupiter1

I cleaned the above image up a little bit to basically show three white dots and one large dot. This is the image that I see through the telescope lens.

Jupiter1a

I then optimized the image first image using PNG Optimizer in GIMP and found a light reflection zone.

Jupiter1b

The area bound in white lines has blue, red, green, violet, etc. colored pixels while the area outside of the white boundary does not have any colored pixels at. Not certain why, but it is still an interesting display.

Maybe a Dyson Swarm is orbiting KIC 8462852

I watched this by video made by Anton Petrov, link at the bottom of the page, who is using Universe Sandbox 2 available on Steam . He uses Mercury as the model that materials are taken from to create 7,000 units that then orbit the Sun harvesting energy that is then transferred using Tesla’s Theory. He states that the dip of the light curve of the sun in the simulation is not effected very much, but the fact is that the light curve is still effected. At the end of the video he causes the sun to super nova that causes the units to expand outwards into the solar system.

If you watch the video it is very educational to say the least. The end of the video is the most interesting. As his units escape into the solar system grouped together and still keeping their form, the Dyson Swarm would actually create more distance between each unit allowing for more light to escape as well as more harvester units to be added to each ring to once again collect the energy from the sun. As more units are added the interior surface area collecting the light from the sun would increase as the total light escaping would decrease thus creating a noticeable dim in the light curve of KIC 8462852.

But a conceivable idea would be too take a satellite and build it on an arced truss work frame based on the orbital path the satellite is taking around the Earth. Basically like a trolley car riding a pair of tracks. The tracking could be a few hundred feet to a mile in length. The track itself would be able to be positioned using pulse engines. The satellite could then move the length of the track while the track was kept in an orbit around Earth. This idea is something that one might see in a Dyson Swarm. Not large sections around the sun, but smaller sections on tracking that would allow the energy collection satellite to be positioned along the mile long track for the optimal collection of energy from the sun.So maybe when a star’s light curve is very odd, perhaps it could solar harvester’s riding back and forth on orbital tracks collecting the suns energy.

Not to mention collecting the atoms from the Sun in special cells lined with an Aerogel like substance. The elements that are collected are then fed into a facility that fuses the atoms together to make iron and nickel pellets that are then sent to a refinery for further refining into ingots that are then used for whatever purpose the civilization needs.

Along with the other elements that a sun produces, hydrogen, helium, carbon, nitrogen and oxygen a Dyson Swarm civilization would have more than enough resources harvested from their sun to to create bio domed civilizations as well as even possibly terraforming dead planets and moons in its solar system using the resources from the sun that would last billions of years. More than enough time for the Dyson Civilization to have built Leaper Colonies away from their sun as it dies to other suns that are very young to thus continue the process of surviving in the deeps of space.

Anton would be the best guy to model what is taking place at KIC 8462852. What he might find will be interesting.

I was looking through some photos of space on the net and came across one that caught my eye.

In the first image the stars seem to be part of a ring network of stars orbiting something immense, maybe a black hole.

Star%20Ring1

The second image is of stars that form a string of stars from the top to almost bottom of the page.
The arrangement of the stars in the second image reminds me of the giant statues on Easter Island. The blend of stars at the bottom would be the ground that the statues rest in.

If you look closely at this image you can see three strings of stars, two stars that are running concentric to each other and the third a zig zag of stars.

Notice the two rings or mounds of soil in front of the statue in the middle ?

You never know.

I was messing around with my camera tonight after I took a minute long video of Jupiter and it’s four moons. I am still learning how to use my Smartphone to take pictures of the Cosmos with. Although not even close to being the best way to snap images of Deep Space, the LG7 Thin Q does capture very. very feint light as you can see in the images below.

The first one has to be a planet or a sun, most likely a planet based on the object to the right and below the blur looking like a moon. You can see the object just below and to the right of the blur.

These photos have not been processed or edited either until later on.
Exposure Bias: 0.0 ev
Brightness: -10.60
Shutter Speed: 30 sec
Lens Aperture: f/1.6 max

The stars look blurry because my camera is not designed to track stars that are constantly on the move, Hence the blur or the stars movement over 30 seconds from the point that the picture was taken or the left side of the star to the end point of when the picture was finished or the right side of the star.

Zoomed in image of the object.

Moon1

I removed digital noise four times and then got this image.

I think the lines and other dots have to be stars in the very feint back ground. The Moon is the brightly colored object, center right.

I then did a couple of high pass sharpens on the image.

Moon3
Notice how the object in the center has yellow around the edges where the yellow is more prevalent around the bottom of the object in the middle?
