Coming from you it doesn’t mean anything.
A player’s real time and activity on a single server at a time will be halved by this.
Think about that for a second, at least one second of brain activity, possible … ?
Let them go there! Thats the whole point?!
Yes and? I played this game for 2 years without loosing a ship once before venturing out into wormholes and null, and there TONS of players like that - thats the whole point?
You will have players going into null, wormholes, low, abyss etc. all of that still exists and is needed to fuel the games economy and people will still go there because it NETS them more profits and opens up more gameplay.
But if they dont feel ready yet, or just want to relax, or just dont feel like it today, they can choose to go into highsec instead - whats the problem?
Again: you can stay on your server, nothing changes for you. Please finally do understand that.
In all of CCPs statement about the new servers design, they did not said anything about adding more RNG to loottables, you completely pulled that out ur rear end because u try to derail the discussion into nonsense.
thinking…
I give up. Please tell me the answer.
No one mentioned lootables. Just like when you mentioned ganking…
We are done, troll.
Good, because your arguments made zero sense.
Thanks, alt
Ok so you are saying it will take players on avg 2 years to feel they are ready to leave high sec and that ganking is only slowing down this evolution?
Honestly I would wait a bit if i was them…or go in to build up cash and stuff…wait till its pretty full of the carebears…
Then unleash the Wrecking Ball
Sorry. We millenials don’t do that. It’s too dangerous for our mental health… Oh god, I need my safe space now. See what you did? I’m shaking now.
Daddy!!
No i said i took my time for 2 years before moving out of HS and that there are a ton of players like me.
As you can easily read, right? can you?
And no, ganking isnt slowing down this evolution, never said that.
So then what is the point of removing ganking if it is as you say not slowing down player progression.
If anything I would be up for speeding up player progression so that there is more combat and conflict in the game imo. Even if that means some type of safe zone.
Cry more whiner.
So that some player can find a safe space to play and CCP can earn more money.
TQ will not be touched and so everyone is happy.
CCP love their statistics they will use any server even if not their own “EG chinese new server” to draw data and analyse it to change TQ.
TQ is the borg it will adapt and it will change according to its environment. And all of us and our credit cards will be assimilated.
Again i did not said that. Of coure it does slow down a players progression if he looses all his progress or half his progress or a quarter of his progress to a gank.
Some people quit the game over this who would otherwise, if they had a different server option, would be paying customers.
Some people like the permanent risk, they can just keep playing Tranquility.
a partially safe space. But yeah, this…and also scroll up 100 posts and read, ive wrote more than enough about the appeal.
tldr: it is NOT only about the safety hs settings, it is also about a new galaxy, a new layout, new content and especially a fresh start.
All the stuff announced by CCP for the new server, with “we’re not ready, there is even more to come”.
I can agree on new galaxy + layout and fresh start those sound fantastic.
But the other stuff needs some serious discussion as CCP will be thinking about it and if we are talking about it anything we bring up here will influence their future decisions.
That’s the smart way to do it. Let the Chinese deal with it first and if they survive it so can we.
Borg? Sounds Swedish.
Yip its like Ikea for the body and mind.
Inb4 Kezrai : You guys are offtopic again.
I would like to think the future of eve ties into talking about CCP and staff xD so on topic.
Exactly. We also have many reports from the past about just how broken CCP’s management and production process is.
That won’t matter to the people who desperately need to cling to any argument that denies “CCP is an utter disaster and there is no real hope for EVE without massive change at CCP”.
Let’s do a reasonable comparison: CCP vs Cryptic Studios.
- Both companies are widely denounced by their player forums (and elsewhere) for their poor management, bad/adversarial attitude towards the playerbase, and general incompetence.
- Both companies are in the same general ballpark for employees (150-300) and revenue - although CCP makes roughly 50-100% more.
- Both companies manage a space MMO
- Both companies have experienced project failure and mass layoffs (Cryptic - Magic the Gathering, CCP - too many to list here)
- Both companies lost control of their future and were sold to outside/Asian owners
That said, with a substantially smaller budget and fewer employees than CCP, Cryptic manages to run 3 full games (Star Trek Online, Neverwinter, Champions Online), pay major licensing fees for their IPs, continually release new updates, content and events, and even re-write mass sections of their mechanics. (Note: not a balance pass or a numbers tweak, but a complete ground-up re-write)
It isn’t only about staffing/understaffing. It’s about being able to successfully identify and achieve meaningful progress - which CCP has demonstrated they are simply incapable of, 80% of the time.
I’d say the Triglavian invasion shows what CCP is capable of achieving when the stars (mostly) align and management is actually focused on a goal. But by far the majority of the time, they’re simply pissing up a rope.
