EVE Online dev team is understaffed

That’s a misconception. CCP can get the market going as they wish anytime they like. They have all the tools at their disposal to make sure that the market stays healthy.

That’s the thing, we don’t even know exactly how many players there are, what with all the Alts and bots.

Ultimately, CCP decides. They will try it with the Chinese and if there’s good return they will do it here in the West.

I have a good feeling it will increase player numbers and don’t forget that a player will be able to play on both servers so that “splitting the community” bit is a non-issue.

Interesting I didnt realise mining had become so bad I do gas mining which is still afk-able. I was refering to only 1.0 systems thou not the rest of high sec. This in exchange for not being able to switch off green saftey in 1.0 only.

Just for a week old player to get their footing and feel ready to the rest of eve as they jump into 0.9 for the first time it pops up with a message if you jump here you could die at any time and so on.

I think I mentioned it already in another post, but those are all themepark games, while Eve is a UPvP sandbox. In fact, devs have even said in presentations that players are the content of Eve. So, call me crazy, but I don’t think you can say that split servers will work here, just because it works in fundamentally different games.

There is still risk? Nullsec still exists, Lowsec still exists, WH still exists, abyss still exists.
And actually: you CAN die in highsec playing PvE. In fact most people do, look at the numbers:

When looking at these numbers, what in gods name makes you think a market wouldnt be sustainable without hs ganking?

I mean you make a decent point, just know that everyone in high would be earning less if they removed ganking are people willing to earn less to know that they are safe from players?

You have to remember aswell that ganking stops players from blinging their ships too much, and the more they bling their ships the less likely they are to die to npc’s.

So in a way players are inflencing the player deaths to NPC’s as well.

When did I even remotely say anything like that?

In your server, everyone will be in HS where they cannot die. You made clear your case that people who dont like the risk other players present would move there, so why would they go to space where they are at risk from players?

There will be no sustainable market thats anything other than an Elite Dangerous-like fiction that operates on RNG.
You know all this anyway, its why you are trolling it.

Id say have your server and enjoy the 5 minutes it exists before people leave when they realise how tedious an utterly predictable market is.

And sure if you got your wish, you know very well that there would never be 2 servers anyway.

Na, your actually one of the more reasonable people in here.
I do however think “split” or two different server options could work, and ccp do aswell otherwise they wouldnt be testing it.

And Albion actually is not that far away from eve, at least its the closest in terms of MMOs.

Oh I dont doubt for a second that the first complaint on the New Server would be “NPCS can kill me, pls fix”.

THats even if they were allowed to shoot at you at all in the first place.

For only $5 a month extra you get 10 free respawns so you don’t loose anything from npc’s, o wait they are doing that already on the chinese server.

because it is far more profitable and for certain players, more fun

your logic does not make any sense whatsoever since right now, not everyone is in highsec just because it is “lower” risk than wh, low or null.

its a complete non argument

what the actual ■■■■ are you even talking about, now ur completely drifting into nonsense
what “elite dangerous operates on rng” wtf does that even mean? why would it be any more reliant on RNG? huh? doesnt make any sense, at all. There is no more RNG introduced into loottables or anything.

Thats another thing.

They are going to charge money for Sov

Why would anyone pay for it?

Btw you asked earlier what is the point of a smaller universe?

More player interactions per minute which results in higher action  imo.

Also rarer resources so more fighting over those.

Everything is just way to massive imo, high sec itself is huge unnecessarily huge.

because certain ressources can only be acquired from null?
have u ever played the game?

wtf is this dude about lmfao

The first complaint will be
" The game doesn’t start automatically! I have to click a “play” button and wait! Finger tired  "

I know right then someone will complain about ui needing 2 clicks instead of 1 :stuck_out_tongue:

What kind of idiot would complain abou- oh, nvm :slightly_smiling_face:

Im referencing your idea, so if it doesnt make sense, Im afraid thats on you vOv

You say that most people want safe space where theres no ganking, so why wouldnt they go to a safe space where theres no ganking?

But if theres a chance that they will lose their profit, they will stay where there’s no chance of it. THey wont take the risk.

For those who risk is fun, why wouldnt they want things to stay as they are.

Your argument is the illogical one. You are arguing for a situation that cannot sustain its own purpose.

Im sorry that you need to pretend not to understand that the current EvE market is not based on randomly generated numbers, but to function in this new version it would.

Becoming hyperbolic about something that makes complete sense just shows that you really are just a divisive troll.

safety green only…war decs? yeah until Blckflag or riot decide to give it a go…then they will own everything, moons and POCO’s on that new server.

Oh boy … you are so clueless …

Yea that is the negitive side who ever is first will own every single moon. And then probibly rent the moons out. I’m just bouncing idea’s seing how they would play out logically.
