EVE Online: Invasion - General Feedback

It’s just another quick tack on to a game that hasn’t changed drastically in 15yrs? Incorporate a Y axis perhaps? Missions and DED sites are no different.

I say go back to pre-retribution patch

I’d prefer if there was a lot more invasions in low sec, only in high atm with maybe a single low system at a time on the edge 2jumps, I’v tried shooting people in high by baiting aggression but its way to easy for people to go around in their catalysts and be perfectly safe ninja looting other peoples effort.

Maybe have the center on a low sec system and have some of the surrounding systems in high sec to tease people to come down to low and fight.

Unless maybe its us that chooses the location of the invasion, by every little abyssal pocket we create in the system leaving a little tear for the Triglavians to open.

Done the Invasion twice so far and I must say I like it. Following things are nice:

  • Solo Player content available at the Edge Systems
  • Fleet content available in the more Core Systems
  • A little bit of drama is available due to can stealing and ninja salvaging

So congratulations and thank you to CCP for this nice expansion.

Done a little bit of the invasion. There are no bounties from enemy kills and mostly the same basic reward from simple tasks. The risk is higher and people are dying a lot. I’m not sure if you meant to reward us, or just kill us. lol

Did that version have the Y-axis your discussing?

I’m confused. You start by mentioning that the game has not much changed in 15 years and end asking for a roll back to a seven year old patch…

I remember eve was a much more vibrant place. Perhaps all this “balancing” has toppled the scales? People who threw in the towel because they were sick of change after change? Specifically to please special interest groups within the game?

People don’t realize it’s basically a side-scroller lol. You ARE the centre of the universe. Simulated 3D…2.5D?

I definitely agree that there has been far too much balancing and far to few features and fresh idea the last six or seven years.

Too many ships and to few have a real reason to fly them is how it feels.

@CCP_Falcon So, I’m glad you guys are releasing new PvE content, but why the nerf to incursion spawn rates? Warp to Me, your largest incursion community, has been down for over 24 hours!!! We had an FC stand up an Invasion fleet for a couple of hours this evening, but he got tired of all the ninja salvagers stealing our loot, and stood down the fleet.

Now, I know people will defend the ninja salvaging and say we need to adapt. I’m not going to argue against that. What I am trying to say is that you have a bunch of players who were previously highly engaged with some of your content, but due to a reduction in the availability of that content, they are either sitting on their thumbs, or logging of to play other games.

Seems to me the best way to get people to run your content is to make that content desirable for them to run, and not to restrict access to the content they are already engaging with.

Why do these invasions need to come at such a cost to Incursioners? This feels like a slap in the face to people that run Incursion content religiously.

@CCP_Falcon Sigh. Flew 20+ jumps, stood up at 0730, ran for 30 minutes, and then the rats we were fighting went poof. Invasion despawned. I imagine that they will start lasting longer at some point, but sooner is probably better than later.

Even if you want to delay the release of other stages of the invasion, please make them last longer.
Give us time to travel, help people with fits (which will hopefully become less and less of a problem), standup a fleet, and actually get to play. Like, coordinating a group of nomadic pilots to run new content takes time and effort. It would be nice if that effort cold be rewarded with a fair amount of gameplay.

And I suppose I should try to figure out how to estimate how much time is left on an invasion, so we aren’t left trying to stand up for an invasion that’s about to end. Speaking of which, does the agency say when the invasion started? Like, https://eve-incursions.de/ tells when incursions start, so we can estimate how much time is left on a focus. It would be noice if we had something like that for the Trig Invasions. But idk, perhaps you intend to leave that up to the players to figure out.

The Agency is nice, shame you nerfed the Highsec Incursion spawn rate everywhere, alienating the Incursion community. And now it seems like the Invasion broke off too? Wow, CCP. We knew you were out of touch with your players, but this is a new low.

Several paying Omega pilots now considering unsubbing, you killed their fun.

So aside from watch people quit from the one two punch when alphas were removed from Level 4s …and then got Incruision nerfed with 33% availability

Issues with invasion

  1. If the payout is largely SALVAGE and SALVAGE doesn’t trigger Crime Watch. How exactly do you intend people to defend their loot short of suicide gank squads? For real this is high sec only. Dumb

  2. There is no mechanism for Industrialists to farm their own mats. No means outside of Invasions to get the mats, so all production stops. Most Invasion communities have no direct way to get the mats to a line pilot…basically all Triglavian production has stopped. Can’t get the datacores to research the new ships, and can’t get the mats to build them if you get the datacores.

There is no mechanism short of ninja salvaging to get trig production mats…buy them at stupid price…with a known scammer trying to corner the market. ■■■■ that.

Why incursions are not spawning at their rate?
Also in invasion you can kill but wont get any reward unless you salvage if someone loots your kill the whole point of invasion is reward less for fleets.
Kindly change the incursions back to how the spawn was before invasions, so people can enjoy their incursion fleets.

Glad to see I’m not the only one who flet the slap CCP dealt it’s long running Incursion community. Ripping our spawn rate to try and force us into new content so you can say “It worked” is not fair to the community you are screwing over. And it’s a screwover, not a mistake or you would have mentioned the nerf in your patch notes not just in a random supprot page. CCP knew this wasn’t going to go down well.

Also you don’t know when the rats in invasion will despawn, you go 20 jumps and dont know if the rats will still be there.

It did not worked at all, cause there is basically nowhere to fly Incursions and there are no Invasion focuses as well. So good job CCP, you broke stuff again.
