How much suffering has the non capital miner had to bear because of this one OP machine? It was actually much better when it was just a boosting ship sitting in a pos bubble.

They have nerfed mining ships for years and to the point that hisec mining is all about ganking, not mining. Hisec solo minors are always the ones that get hit the hardest.

CCP has failed to increase Eve’s player base for many years now. Accordingly, its basically a zero sum game - when CCP introduces new areas like the abyss and pochven it cannibalizes the rest of the player base. Sure, people may be using pochven more, but that is at the expense of the rest of eve. For eve to feel active there needs to be players in space doing things. Its not good for the game for systems to be empty or everyone in a system to be docked up while their alts run content in instances.

CCP hasnt learned a thing from the failures of past MMO’s. Instances are death to an open world game. Even new open space will hurt an open world game if all it does is chop up the player base into ever smaller pieces. Its a shame EVE used to be a vibrant game. Now there is just too few people spread out over too much space and often with too many walls separating people from each other for it be healthy as an open world game. I guess there is always open for eve 2.

I don’t have any specific feedback but just wanted to say THANK YOU for the update. This is tremendously powerful for sentiment and much appreciated. I love this:

From my point of view the love i had for this game was small scale pvp in lowsec against pirate corps and wardecs, these days its hotdrop central and no point in securing space with FW that no one cares about going on.

A few ideas to potentially fix some issues…

  1. Get capitals out of lowsec allow industrials only JF, Rorquals no carriers or supers or even blackops.
  2. Make it so that Alpha accounts cant change from Safe mode in highsec to prevent throwaway alts for ganking on alpha accounts. such as Code or Safety uses.
  3. Make highsec profitable again and abit safer to make the pve players comeback. No one can field any form of mining ships cause alpha account gankers nuke any ship cause of low cost and no loss to their main account status.
  4. Revamp missions and rewards maybe add group missions no one does lvl5 cause being in lowsec. a few guys speed runs em with certain setups.
  5. Revamp wardecs again …or add extra protection for structures in highsec at a higher running cost. all indy corps today is make a alt corp that hold engineering structures so main corp cant be wardecced.

I know alot of players gonna complain about “pve” but to be honest they make up alot of players and they are leaving.

The PI interface needs reworking. The sheer amount of clicking and waiting is staggering when it comes to any real scale. Perhaps an update to the way resouces are handled and moved in the Interface as well as PI hotkeys could help fix these issues.

Rorquals are so fun to hunt. Some of us specialize in catching them. It’s called whaling. Also the response fleets provide some of the best fights in EVE. It’s a waste of game to keep a prize that big in a POS bubble.

Totally agree. Orca for the solo player with 2 alts for barges is how I play in hisec. Can’t run Hulk or other ships due to ganking. If the mess up the Orca and hisec is again hit for solo miners, I’ll leave.
I loved maxing out the Hulk to get the best mc/cycle, but now I’m only focused on maxing out the eph to avoid ganking. Seriously, that is what you want for Eve? If so, I’m in the wrong game.

Solo mining in highsec was fine before the Orca rebalance at the end of 2016. Whatever changes CCP do plan for the Orca, solo mining will still be fine.

Please remove the ability to use pochven filaments, from Jspace. I understand it makes a some lore sense to have this feature available, as the triglavians are all about wormholes. However, it nearly breaks wormhole mechanics. Just throw a filament in all of your ships. Worst case scenario, you’re back in kspace. Risk is a necessary part of wormhole space, to balance the greater isk available. If there’s no risk, and there really isn’t any more, there’s a balance issue.

“Oh no that fleet’s way too big for us, activate filaments!”

The game does not need income equality it needs risk / reward ballance.
If you want to infuse more activity into a region then add to it instead of taking ■■■■ away from other areas.
LS doesn’t need mining it needs a goddamn FW update.

Made enough people quit for the stock piles to no longer be “active” huh?

So the couple bil ISK worth of capital component BPOs needed to build Caps did not seperate capital and T1 production from each other?
And somehow it was necesary to make faction ships tree times more expensive to combat capital proliferation?
And Battlerships are now classed as caps?

And with all the changes to cynos and nerfs to cap damage application etc you really think it’s justifiyable to pay 10 bil for a Dread and 300 bil for a Titan?
I don’t see how i have anny chance at all to cath up to players who already own one or even multiple Titans and there is little to nothing to do with them if i did.
Given CCPs track record i expect the cap PVE sites to be suicidal nonsense - ofcourse.

Revoke the “surgical strike” resist mess up and i’d be quite comfortable engageing a Carrier with a hand full of Cruisers as is.
Give Battle cruisers and Battleships an MJD hard point.
Give Bombers Bar Dreadbombs.
Give us heavy attack and interdiction Dreads, T2 Carriers and Super Titans.
Give us achievable goals and higher mountains to climb.

Or DO you have any “vision” going into the third decade other than locking new players out of ever reaching the peak of Everest?

Babysitting ESS for 3 hours.
90% 100mn Stabbers 10% blobs 0% gud fights.
90% sit there and do nothing 5% angry krabbing Vexors 5% oh ■■■■ there’s a Huginn.

Everything about the ESS promotes risk averse behaviour.
An embarrisingly shitty solution.

Replace this garbage with ratting sites that are full of scramming rats but pay twice as much - risk / reward and emerging gameplay instead of convoluted contrived garbage.

Surgical Strike resist nerfs are the only major ■■■■ up in that area.
Flying annything without ADC / def mode on a fleet just feels stupid as line member. Deciding fights by how fast one can reship in TiDi - feels stupid.

Much worse the impact on the lower scale.
Ratting ships are harder to fit for bait - promoting risk averse play.
All engagement profiles were shrunk down.
Self reps on ships without boni are a joke.
PVP is more ganky, less strategic.
Battleships were affected worse then anny other class due to easy damage application.

For those players lucky enough to already own capital ships?
With some nice surprise mechanics to further combat “capital proliferation”?

I’ll just have to assume the worst untill CCP actually owns up to their f ups and apologises - or at the verry least wait another 6 months and look at the results before i can considder subscribing again…

imo 2 engagements should be enough - shield + armour in one go, then one time for the defender to show up.
Entosis link on a structure increases damage cap over time?

Messing with Asset safety only messes with players who for some reason can’t be active. It doesn’t make structure hunting a viable income stream.

The “magic 14” is a useless barrier to entry and the “Expert System” a disgusting cash grab into the wallets of our new players.

Stat remapping makes long term skill planning all the worse, confusing for new players, frustrating for veterans trying to diversify. Nothing would be lost if this feature gets removed.

Immagine CCP rowing back scarcity, returning capital Content to space, giving us an AT - with brand new price ships and actually looking forward to talking with the community about the future of the game instead of playing radio silence for moths on end…

I have not found that to be the case. Over the last few years the pcu has been going up.

I do agreed with your point about new content diluting players from previous content but that is their choice. Personally I have never engaged with any area of the game involving the triglaians, that is my choice.

As for instances, these still exit to normal space where those that run this content can be engaged by ganking pilots.

With the addition of capital anomalies, i think its only fair that we remove the bounty modifier completely, it will make farming way easier and also allow hunters to have more juicy ESS to rob. The way i see it right now, it is neither worth it to defend an ESS, nor attack one. Though these are good news, thx ccp :slight_smile:

This is the kind of communication that I hope we can see from CCP on a more regular basis. Knowing that there are active plans in the works, having a general idea of what they are, and seeing proof that community concerns are being heard and internalized is critical for the community’s faith in the future of the game and it’s health.

I encourage CCP to keep doing these kinds of posts - hopefully this isn’t the only update we get for the rest of the year. I will continue pushing them on the CSM for more transparency and greater communication.

That’s so true! Makes me feel good to think this is how I feel about Eve online too.

I’ll believe it when I see it with my own eyes.

I am super excited(pretending) for this upcoming late July update. :smiley:

I mean, they can use stargates, you’re not keeping them out of low sec and they aren’t going to start restricting cyno’s to null

You can just use normal filaments, and then its just a 15 minute timer to use the Pochven filament and then you’re just a jump away from high sec, i mean the alternative is to just waste peoples time while you sit and stare at each other while cloaked waiting for one side to get bored lol
