Eve Online Lego Tengu

I recently became a father for the first time and as a side effect of that, I’ve rediscovered a lost hobby: Lego. I decided to buy the newest Millennium falcon set (75357) and revisit my childhood. I loved building it, as it’s a wonderfully designed set that’s really nifty and sturdy. Lego made some good structural decisions. … But it’s also full of really useful pieces if you want to build another spaceship!

So that’s what I did. I went back to my Eve days and thought of a ship I really liked. Everybody loves a cloaky Tengu, right? It’s as Eve as Eve gets. So here it is! A Tengu made with nothing but the bricks from the MF set!

More pics coming in separate posts!

I never liked the Tengu. I have 200+ m SP and I’m not even skilled into it. Could use different angles on that ship, though.

The thread wasnt about what you didnt like. Its a lego model that you could have given a like because of the effort that was put into it,

What a dope statement.

@Ian_Altano

Fantastic job my friend. I think its pretty cool that you took pieces from another kit and made that. Looking forward to other projects you have. :slight_smile:

I’m also not a big fan of the Tengu. Nor of the Loki, or the strategic destroyers, for that matter. I just feel like they overshadow too many other hulls. Not as badly as the Gila, of course, I hate that thing.

The LEGO Tengu is pretty cool though. 10/10, would put on my bookcase next to my 3D-printed Astero.

They are supposed to. That is why it takes 15 billion years to train to level V for every element, in all 4 of them.

Except it absolutely doesn’t, because the T3C skills were tuned around you losing a level or two when your ship blew up, which was subsequently removed. T3Cs are much too quick to skill into for their power level.

Not that I think certain hulls just being plain better is good game design in the first place.

Now redesign it so you can swap out different subsystem, lol. Seriously though - looks great!

I’m with @Anna_Dyneaux on this one. I’m maxed for Legion and Loki and I don’t remember the training being that bad. And I maxed them before the T3C changes, when there were 5 subsystem skills. Subsystems are only 256k SP to get to level V. That’s hilariously low. Hull itself is 1.28m. I have max skills for Lancer Dreads and a couple of racial titans. Now those take 15b years and feel like an actual achievement when you finish training. T3C you can max out with the SP Fenris gives out for free during the events.

Sorry for the spam, but the forum doesn’t allow me to post them all together. Some more angles!

And yes, taking only the bricks from one set sure does up the difficulty level. Legendary set though. So versatile.

Do yourself a favor and don’t let Harrison Ford touch it.

Such a great actor and can’t do that bit in a credible way.
