EVE On-Lego

Hi there !

I won EVE about a year or two ago now.
You might have encountered me or my alts (Quanta family) around Delve ~~

I then wondered to other hobbies … One of which being Lego !
Since I started collecting Lego sets (and building a few MOCs from other designers) I always had the desire to own Lego versions of EVE ships.

About a year ago now I started to play around with Stud.io (an app to design Lego MOCs, make renders and instructions, etc), and I am happy to announce that it is finally time for some EVE MOCs to be made (by me at least ahah) !

I know some other people have already done some pretty good designs (especially when that lego livestream event was happening) for various EVE ships but almost no instructions are available sadly.

My goal now is to recreate as many EVE ships as possible, there are many great models to be converted to Lego MOCs so the job will take a good amount of years probably

Here are my planned scales :

I have already made two designs, one for the Naga and one for the Orca, see renders below this post !

I will post every single design on a couple socials as well as this post, follow me on one (or multiple !) of them if you want to see the progress !

Any and all feedback is more than welcome to help me improve my designs !

And because EVE wouldn’t be EVE without spreadsheets … expect a spreadsheet to appear on here soon-ish with all EVE Models, links to MOC pages, renders, scales, etc.

See you soon for my next MOC (probably a Nidhoggur or Hel maybe … ) and fly safe !

Naga - Battlecruiser

"The Naga was designed in YC 109 by Corporate Police Force as an anti-Guristas ship, sacrificing the usual robust Caldari Navy standards in favor of supporting battleship-class weaponry. It was rejected by Hyasyoda management for being overspecialized.

The Naga design remained in the Hyasyoda archives, forgotten (save for a cameo in the Gallente holo-series CPF Blue). In YC 113 the Caldari Navy entertained contracts for a new tier of gunboat battlecruiser. Hyasyoda quickly submitted and won with the Naga, underbidding both Kaalakiota and Ishukone.

The Naga is effective in any campaign where fast, mobile firepower is required."

The Naga is an infamous sniper ship, along with the Tornado they are mostly used for scout and shoot tactics from beyond the ennemy’s firing range. They are however very lightly tanked and not as agile as the Tornado.

Orca - Industrial Command Ship

"The Orca was developed as a joint venture between Outer Ring Excavations and Deep Core Mining Inc as a vessel to help meet the demands of New Eden’s industry and provide a flexible platform from which mining operations can be more easily managed.

The Orca is also capable of using a large industrial core to substantially increase its industrial capabilities, while empowering its defenses during deployment in a static configuration. A key element of the industrial capacity unlocked by activating an industrial core is the ability to use compressor modules, with the Orca having the flexibility to use a number of specialized large compressors.

The Orca uses much of the technology developed by ORE for the Rorqual and integrated with the latest advancements from Deep Core Mining research division has developed a vessel which offers a diverse role to all sizes of operations and needs."
(Source : In Game Description)

The Orca is the ultimate High Security space miner ship. It serves as a boosting platform for other smaller vessels aswell as a storage and compressing facility, while also mining on its own using drones.

Amazing stuff. Just goes to show that you can’t really win EVE, even if you did win EVE.

Awesome work; I removed the linktree link in your post as you are offering the designs for sell for RL Money. If you would like to post that link; please get permission from CCP first.

Very nice work…

Hopefully you checked with both CCP and Lego Corp about the legalities of your project…

But yeah, definitely nice work…

if CCP is clever, they make merch out of it

And then put a print on $1000 jeans…

Seriously though, nice work to the OP.
I wouldn’t mind a Lego Stratios to keep in my office some day.

Hum, didn’t think that would be an issue, my bad !

How should I go on about asking CCP about it though ?

Stratios is definetly an interesting model … I think I’m going to go for that next then

Talked it over. Re-added your link, but moved the discussion over to MyEVE category! Wish you the best on the endeavor! <3

I think you will find some info regarding EVE related IP and possibility of monetization here:

Wow big thanks ! <3

If by any chance CCP ever want to collab, ask me I guess ahah

Thanks, will definetly check this more in detail now, just in case ahah

Well …

Work on the stratios has been started, but holy cows it’ll be a tough one !
So many weird shapes and details ahah

I’ll try to put has many of them in the model, but it’ll be very VERY fragile as a result, most probably.

Progress Pics below ~

For instance, I wasn’t able to find a proper way to do the very thin shape below the front antennas … Yet.

Some more progress …

This will definetly purely be a display MOC, it’ll be sooo fragile.

Alright. The V1 is done, renders incomming, here’s some Studio screenshots :

Right now it is under 600 pieces (no stand yet), so around 70 euros (without shipping) worth of parts for 30 cm long !
As a result of the original slim model, it is going to be VERY fragile.
I will most likely build it myself first to see if and where stability is an issue before posting instructions.

That being said, I’m really proud of this design !
Granted how small it is, I’m pretty happy with how many details I was able to incorporate

Very nicely done…

Stratios - Cruiser

"This was one of the first vessels the Sisters of EVE made available to capsuleers. It had been under development by the Sanctuary corporation, whose interest in exploration includes not only search & rescue operations but also a constant inquiry into the nature of the EVE Gate. Thanks to the Sisters’ efforts and the Sanctuary’s particular expertise, the Stratios is an agile, tenacious ship that aptly adheres to the mantra of both rescuers and explorers: Stay safe, stay hidden, and use every tool at your disposal.

It is particularly adept at venturing into dangerous territories, not merely in recovering whatever may be of interest but also in being able to safely bring it back. Its engines have alternate power sources that come into play should any of its cargo - for which it has plenty of room - cause serious interference with internal systems. Its weaponry runs best on renewable sources, an ideal for a ship that doesn’t know how long it’ll be in deep space. Its carapace is extremely well armored for a ship this agile, and covered in sensors capable of letting its crew track a myriad of different organic signatures. The crew itself is safely protected from any number of transmittable ailments from rescues and other unexpected passengers, thanks to special quarantine bays that are conveniently located near jettisonable openings.

And lastly, an ingenious but cryptic transfer in part of the warp core functionality to an outlying cylindrical structure means the Stratios is able to run certain higher-level cloaking functions with very little technical cost, and minimal interference from warp. The Sisters of EVE have refused to comment on this technology, other than to recommend it not be tampered with."
(Source : In Game Description)

The Stratios is one of three ships designed by an IG Corporation for exploration, The Sisters Of Eve (SOE ). This one is at a Cruiser size and ends up being more frequently used for pirate activities than exploration due to its good speed, tanking, scanning boost and drone damage. Most importantly, it is part of the ships that can fit T2 cloaks in EVE, meaning you can warp around cloaked.
In short, you won’t see your demise coming.
