Furthermore, pilots returning to New Eden can claim 7 days free Omega time, to jump back into the action!
Is it mean that will be to separate offers: 7d free Omega and 7d for 10plex or it’s a wrong and there will be only 7d for PLEX and 10PLEX gifts to Omegas. So the Omegas received free 7days and Alphas only 7d for plex?
I have two main remarks about the new ship info panel:
- Where the ship model goes below the text it makes it less readable, consider putting a layer with little alpha behind the text
- It is nice that it can be resized to be compact, but if you do that you are going to hate the self-resizing tabs, please consider an option to leave them small when mouse-hovered, maybe with a tooltip if you really want to associate them with a text
I had the same question since Alpha’s were able to claim 7 days Omega time for free in previous expansion releases. Even newly created toons were able to previously.
just for question,
you guys added mutaplasmid and it has ± P.G and CPU
and then someone using muta module to ship to P.G or CPU tighten.
after that, nerf the base P.G or CPU of ship.
then ship will not working as before.
is it fair?
Someone may want to tell the art team to beta-test how their icons look before inflicting radioactive flashbangs on us when we open a container.
Now THIS is a great idea. It’d be nice to work with new members first before inviting them.
“Since I never see a Vargur in PvP, I am curious.”
I’m only in a small nullsec corp, but FWIW we used to prefer them for system defense. Since they can’t hit a well flown loki, we’ve switched up to Lokis recently. This may actually be a good thing since lokis can kill vargurs and are hella cheaper. Marauders are going the way of the Rorqual. They were a little too good but got nerfed to the point where they no longer justify the expense.
Now less expensive ships do almost as good or better job so no one will use marauders any more. I still don’t understand why the big stuff keeps getting nerfed. Why bother adding them to the game then nerf it down to where lesser ships are better?
I’ll probably not fly the new ships. If they’re any good they are just going to get nerfed to oblivion when everyone cries about them so why bother. It’s wasted training and I’m beyond the point where I can recoup skillpoints to reuse them somewhere else (sheds a tear when looking at Marauders 5)
If you dont undo what you have done in anomalies I’ll unsub my storm alts
Can we get a toggle in the Graphic Settings to just disable clouds regardless? Thanks in-advance.
My settings are low, where the damn toggle at though?
under the new ship information window > skills i see the various certificates needed for a particular ship. Currently on one of my alts i am on mastery I on the venture and I want to move to the skill queue the skills to get to mastery 3.
So i choose mastery 3 and see that i need energy grid upgrades 3 (amongst other things. I already have level 1 so i simply drag Energy UPgrades from the mastery 3 list over to my skill plan, and it adds it ok.
However the mastery selection then drops back to mastery 1 and i have to select 3 again.
Can you please set it so that if i choose a mastery level from that section that it stays selected and doesnt move back to my current level. This also happens when buying a skill ive not got.
Hope that makes sense
Since it does not actually seem to have been answered here (I did scroll a little fast past some, sorry if it has). And causes a lot of confusion in game due to its phrasing.
There is nothing specifically targeted at new players or alpha accounts.
There are 3 parts.
1: For every account: 7 days Omega for 10 PLEX, in NES.
2: For accounts that were Omega on release (you do not get these for buying Omega now): 10 PLEX, in NES.
3: For returning players (accounts that has not logged in for 30 days): 7 days Omega time for free, I am guessing in NES.
I have not made a new account to test if they count as not logged in for 30 days, and therefore also get the return offer (3).
1 is a good offer, while not 10 for 10 as last time we saw something similar, it is only 1.4 PLEX / day, to compare if buying 3 months (90 days) for 1200 PLEX that is 13.3 PLEX / day.
No, only channeled effects behaves that way. An over time effect is applied to the target and then it stays there for as long as it can maintain itself. Suggesting it breaks would imply there is a cure that hits it - where does that cure come from? Automatic removal is just as stupid as the whole soldiers in pod idea or that already fired missiles should disappear just because the firing ship leaves.
A suicide terrorist does not do 0 damage, just because they are the first killed by the blast, and hence dead and gone when the blast hits others. Nor would radiation from a nuclear bomb (DoT) vanish just because the dropping plane leaves the country.
Bro it’s literally 2 ships and a deployable…
Okay.
Hi, just wanted to drop by and say I’ve given it a few days to see if I would come around to it and the Ship Information Window continues to make me want to drive off a bridge
It defies all logic of good UI - the category icons overlap the information you are trying to read in a way they never did before regardless of compact mode or not.
In order to swap information categories, even if you know what the various hideous and tiny icons mean (which I assure you no actual human being will, believe it or not, know that three circles means “Attributes”?? where the old UI just said “Attributes”) it expands a menu with an animation that takes half a second to appear, and then obscures most of the window, and then takes half a second to disappear.
Compared to the old UI which would allow you to instantly see a list of categories that did not obscure the information, which where helpfully titled with words instead of completely meaningless hieroglyphic icons, the dwell time alone for this menu opening and then waiting for it to close adds 2-3seconds minimum to anyone using this window, for no reason whatsoever.
Even in compact mode it has more empty space with no information in it than the old one did (overview tab)
Even in compact mode it now only shows corporation and alliance icons and not corporation and alliance names, which now to see you have to open a new window
I truly cannot imagine what the team who designed this were hoping to achieve. I cannot actually find any single element or feature of this new window that is better than the old one. I’m happy to be corrected if anyone can tell me what it actually added or improved? Estimated price on the overview tab was added - was this such an in-demand change that it’s worth all the other strict downgrades?
It also now has to open a new window for person info, so to find out the name of the alliance of the person I am looking at you took us from:
- Click show info
- Information presented immediately
to - Click show info
- Navigate mouse to characters face and click it
- Second window opens (Old UI, woohoo!)
- Information presented immediately
I would love a CCP response - genuinely, I would be so grateful if someone from the UI team could explain to me the ways I am wrong. Everything above seems to make the window just functionally worse in every way to me, and it’s more annoying to interact with, it is a strict downgrade to the old UI, and I am forced to contemplate what the UI team is smoking.
