Eve online VR

There’s already the first person camera present in the game. Just make it such that the game can be played in VR. It’ll be really cool to drive a spaceship in VR. While it’ll be not as efficient as PC gaming, but the experience will be out of the world

EVE Valkyrie called.

I was not around when eve Valkyrie was a thing, alright? I want to play eve online in VR. Seeing that there’s already a first person camera in the game I don’t think that this is a big ask

EVE Frontier needs to be a huge success… EVE Vanguard needs to be a huge success… and you want to add EVE VR on top of that? In the grand scheme of things, yeah - I’d say it’s a pretty big ask. But hey, I’m not gonna stand in the way of your dream…

except the First Person camera won’t work the way you think it will..

Why do people show up in ideas threads just to throw shade. And its the same ppl every time it seems.

VR could probably work great in EVE, it would be hard to make VR great in Vanguard

You’d get more function out of making Civ V compatible with VR headsets.

If you do this in Elite Dangerous instead, you might actually have fun.

EVE VR failed before because it only let you look around the cockpit, not the whole world. Real VR immerses you in the environment—like undocking at Jita and seeing the station, ships, and planet around you. Your head turns the camera, your right hand controls targeting, and your left hand steers the ship (e.g., two taps to go forward while you look behind you).

This is a screenshot of the EVE VR game from nearly a decade ago. As you can see the cockpit is >60% of the screen. So thats what you will be looking at most of the time in this VR game. It is basically a 60% reduction of the immersion. Few

The following is a critically acclaimed VR game. The UI is barely even there and there is nothing upstructing your view. Thats VR done right. Peace
