Do you still have colonies on those planets ?
It might actually be a bug with the EVE API itself.
Because I do not see how my tool could possibly know about planets you do not have as colonies anymore.

no. It actually pulls the right planets so long as only one api is pulled. I dont even know how its pulling those planets.
I am not sure to follow.
Those ‘extra’ planets, are they colonized now?
Or did you abandon them?
Like completely destroy the command center and all?
I destroyed the CCs on those planets after I moved over a year ago. But instead of showing me those new planets, if I have 2 of my toons set to pull the API it will show the old worlds.
If I then remove one char’s API and restart it, and click load from API it will pull the correct world for that one character.

k,
How long have you been using my tool?
As in: Did you move out of those planets before you started using my tool or after?
I am wondering if it is a left over somewhere in my tool that loads it, or if it is really an EVE API issue.
sry took so long to reply. I just started using the tool. They were moved long before using your software.
It’s why I dont know how it got a hold of those planets.
If that’s the case, it means that it is a bug in the EVE API itself.
Interesting.
Unfortunately, I don’t think there is anything I can do about this problem.
I would suggest that you file a bug report to EVE Online about this API issue you found.
You can send them the name of the planets in questions and more details.
It’s up to you.
Good luck.
okay, thank you.
I am wondering if it could be because you have some structure or link left on the planet.
Things that would not have been deleted when you removed the command center.
Did you try open those planets in my tool and see if it reported anything built on them?
Or are they just empty ?
It is also possible that the API keep track of all the planets we colonize no matter their status at the present time.
Like you can add planets, but never really remove them.
And the game would filter the ‘empty’ ones automatically.
Out of curiosity, could you go to this API EVE Swagger Interface (evetech.net) - list of all planetary colonies owned by a character, and get the list of planets for your character that used those planets.
From the result, IF you see one of those you KNOW to be empty, pick it, then try it with the following API EVE Swagger Interface (evetech.net) - full details on the layout of a single planetary colony
And check if there are any structures/routes on it or if it is empty.
You can get your Character ID from the URL when you find yourself in Eve Who - Home
As for the planet ID, you can use EVE Swagger Interface (evetech.net) - information on a planet to check the name of a planet from its ID (because the PI API only use planets ID, so you’ll need to lookup the name to know which is which to find the ‘empty’ ones.
If it really goes along the line that the game automatically filters out ‘empty’ planets, then I should duplicate this behavior in my tool.
Which is why I am interested in the results of the API calls.
The download link for the tool seems to be broken.
Hi, thank you for your interest in the Planetary Planner.
I regret to announce that I have discontinued the tool.
Many people did not trust my tool because it was a Windows application. They feared that I could try to do bad things to their computer. So the tool was never as popular as I hoped it would have been.
Creating and maintaining the tool/website cost me money and time that I could not afford anymore for no return.
The complexity required for some of the features would not adapt well as a website only.
I even applied to EVE Online Community Contributor program, hoping that at least CCP would recognize my contribution to their universe. But my tool got rejected without any given reason…
So yeah…
The project is dead.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
I wish you luck in your PI endeavor, and sincerely hope you will find another tool that will answer your need like the Planetary Planner did/could have done.
I get that this is your thread but are you seriously replying to a nearly 2 year old post?
I came back after a 2 year hiatus.
I felt that some explanations were due as to why the project is not available anymore.
Is that a problem?
