EVE portraits - share tricks, and share yours!

It seems not even you can repel fashion of such magnitude. :face_with_hand_over_mouth: :smiling_imp:

I could , but chose not to.

Nice outfit, but you need something like this for when you get captured

My first character born 2011. My only trick other than perserverance, and of course it’s entirely subjective, is to choose simpler, more natural looking backgrounds. I prefer not to use backgrounds that contain graphics or contrasting geometric shapes.

I returned to Eve recently and created a new character to experience the latest tutorials and career onboarding.

I created a PI alt a couple of days ago but the portrait service seems to be down at the moment (portraits filed in-game are not being copied to accounts, third party services, etc.) so I can’t share her for now.

Here’s a new portrait, posing as a member of the notorious ‘Flamjaw’ gang…

As most of you know, I’ve been collecting apparel items for a long time now. I was recently going through my collection and realized I finally had all the items needed to make a proper color-coordinated outfit using the ‘Outlaw’ Jacket (Burnt Orange) as the base clothing item…

Apparel Items

Summary

Men’s ‘Tectonic’ Headwear (matte black)
Men’s Republic Service Tattoo (Krusual)
GDN-9 “Nightstalker” Combat Goggles
Men’s ‘Eico Flamjaw’ Facial Augmentation
Men’s ‘RubySet TorsoRig’ Body Augmentation (to show gloves)
Men’s ‘Outlaw’ Jacket (Burnt Orange)
Men’s ‘Republic Valklear’ Pants
Men’s ‘Fatal Elite’ Combat Boots

I really hate toying with character appearance. Wish I could buy a that as a service…

It is a slippery slope which carrys over to real life. Next you will be getting boob implants.

I guess you could pay someone else to make a character portrait and then do a character transfer if you really want to pay for that service!

Yeah sure, I delete my main, to replace it with new toon with no skill or some random name old char with random skills just to have a cool portrait

Yea, it’s more a thing for when you want to make a new character with a nice portrait, not for your existing character.

You could ask someone to make a portrait that you can copy, but then you still have to spend time and effort in the character editor to copy it.

Biomassing is an seriously underated experience, you should try it. But before you do, give me your stuff.

But before that he should try Aiko’s Bonus Room Experience first. :innocent:

I hear a BBL is all the rage among aspiring capsuleers and certified lover boys.

Well, at one point I got a PLEX for doing someone’s new alt, and they paid for the character transfer too…

All Apparel items must be in hangar (not in container) in the same station as the character. The Character Customization page has a ‘Randomize Appearance’ option on the left side of the page. Just keep clicking it until you see one you like…

Unfortunately the Character Portrait page doesn’t have a general Randomize Portrait option. However each of the 3 different selection modes - Backgrounds, Poses and Lights - has a ‘Randomize’ option available that will show when the mouse cursor is placed to the left side of that selection title.

I didn’t know the randomizer also took apparel into account, that seems useful!

(Not that I have enough apparel to randomize - the only apparel I have are the pieces I bought specifically for my portraits. )

Nice! Another way to make money in EVE.

Yeah, it actually cycles randomly using all of the character customization selections, everything from eyes to body augmentations. It also mixes in stock Apparel items with NES / Market Apparel items.
