Eve PvP Radar

Service url: https://evepvpradar.com

Source code: GitHub - Skybladev2/EvePvpRadar · GitHub

The service searches for recent PvP activity around trade hubs and in close proximity at stargates.
Works in Pochven too.

How to use

  • Place jump clones as close to each major trade hub as possible (table is provided).
  • Find the gatecamp you like to engage.
  • Clone jump to the nearest trade hub.
  • Buy and fit the ship(s). This requires some homework to save in-game time.
  • Fly to gatecamp and enjoy (or not) the PvP!

Features

  • Takes Thera passthrough routes into account.
  • Links to attackers losses at zkillboard.com to quickly analyze their fits.
  • Links to EVE University Wiki for attackers ship types.
  • Set in-game autopilot to designated systems from the website (requites authentication via EVE Online).

FAQ

How far the service searches for PvP activity?

15 jumps from each trade hub or from your character current location.

Why gate kills only?

Gatecamps have 2 useful properties:

  • The location is known and easily reachable. You don’t need to D-scan or probe to find the opponents.
  • Gatecampers are likely to stay on grid for a long period of time, so it’s a high chance to meet them after their fight is over.

What is the difference to EVE Gatecamp Check?

The EVE Gatcamp Check is used for defence purposes. You need to know the route before getting the gatecamp check result to avoid them.

Eve PvP Radar is used to seek engagements. The service constantly monitors gate kills in the universe and shows you nearby PvP activity without knowing your route.

I faced gatecamp not shown by the service/There is nobody at the gate

This is expected as the service can have missing data or data can be outdated.

Can I run it locally?

Yes. Just follow instructions in repo’s Readme.md and visit http://localhost:8888

How to improve the service?

The best way is to fork the original repo GitHub - Skybladev2/EvePvpRadar · GitHub and use/host improved version.
You can also file an issue, but I don’t have plans in improving service functionality in the near future.
It took me too much time to create and depoy it, so I plan to continue working on another projects.

Background

Eve Online has variety of PvP opportunities, but they often time-consuming which frutrates me.
So the new service idea emerged.
It reduces PvP engagement time to around 15-20 minutes from the login 4 times out of 5 (based on my own experience). Your mileage can vary.
